Often wondered if Emerson could play the RCB role. Really want Romero to play the CCB role.

Reports say he’s a great locker room presence. He must be one of the few.

Would be ok keeping him if the next manager believes RCB is an option.

Romero as CCB sounds so alien to me considering the player we see week in week out.

Was where he played for Atlanta when he won defender of the year.

Yeh, I understand this....... Still baffled.

Not sure how they worked it because he does like going forward.

The few times I watched Atalanta back then they looked like everyone just piles forward and thinks "fuck it!".....

Will say he’s pretty good at reading danger and making last ditch tackles/blocks. Maybe he’s less likely to make brutal tackles at CCB?

Sometimes......

When i think CCB, I think steady guy, cool head, good positional discipline, brains over 'brawn' approach to defending. These just aren't things I associate with Romero..... Nor do I think it's in his interests to give up the things that make him who he is.

If these rumours about Tuchel are true , it shows that Levy/ENIC haven't learnt a damn thing from the last 4 years

Are these really the kind of people you want running your football club

Bloody clueless and severely out of touch with the fanbase (the normal fans)
Remember all the 'Regime Enthusiasts ' when we appointed Conte reluctantly admitting this was Levy's last roll of the dice. His 'Last Chance Saloon ' :roflmao:

Whoever we appoint, they'll be glossing it up as an inspirational choice then, 18 months down the line, they'll be abusing the poor cunt and praising Levy for pulling the trigger again.

Pure comedy :sonlol:

Last chance ... let's see what they do in the summer with the shackles off..you can't blame Levy he backed the manager... x might unite the fanbase .... we can turn a corner here... we spend enough money .. conte is a fraud..

Regime enthusiast bingo!

Thinking Think GIF by Rodney Dangerfield

Then we end up with Mason.
Or they read their notes badly and we get Harry Potter.

The more I read up on Nagelsmann and his tactics and the way he likes to operate makes me believe he's near on the best fit for the personnel we currently have.

Porro, Udogie, Bissouma, Romero and Bentancur would all benefit from his 3142 formation. We'd need a new goalkeeper, two new centre backs and a central midfielder but we knew we were needing those things regardless of who takes over foe next season.

Even then, I think the likes of Emerson have a part to play in his 4231 when he decides that's needed.
Why would we need a new CM? Bentancur, Skipp, Sarr and Bissouma should be more than enough as a start of his tenure in my opinion. A CAM is definetely more needed, and there are a lot of good options available this summer. Brandt I think is out of contract, Dybala can be gotten for 15M, Alex Scott would be incredible etc.

CBs and a new GK are the most necessary signings, while a LW could also be of need with Son being a shadow of his former self.

I think Skipp or Bissouma would probably be Nagelsmann's 6 no? Although he considers it his "quarterback" role and so this would suggest someone with a good passing range as well as technical quality. But we have to take into account his training. He would make both even better.

Regardless I'm excited for Bissouma to be unleashed from Conte's restrictive system. He will benefit I'm sure
It's Skipp. Bissouma is way more suited to the Goretzka role. Physical and very good technically. Skipp has a brilliant passing range, better than Bentancurs. Hojbjerg also has a good pass in him but he's extremely inconsistent. I think that he would be the first midfielder out of the door for both Poch or Nagelsmann.

Some pieces are there for a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1. The backline really needs a new good CB and a new GK though.

Poch who played absolute cart horses like Dier and Sissoko in midfield over and over again?

I don't trust Pochettino to know a proper midfielder if one bit him on his cock and said vamoos.

He didn't have much choice towards the end in all fairness. The only other option was a finished Wanyama. The most dissapointing thing about Poch isn't the fact that he played Winks and Sissoko in CM, it's the fact that he signed Ndombele and GLC to try and fix it.

As much I want JN, what I don't want is some stand off between Madrid, us and other clubs, only for Madrid to appoint him in mid-June and we then spend a month finding the next bloke. I want the next manager in by mid-June at the very latest.

Need to add Nagelsmann to the list
Because that's where Levy is headed. All his eggs in that basket from now until it's done or he takes another job
Yeah his high press, all action from the front style is perfect for Son and Kane. Two hard working beasts. The stylish PEH is also perfect for his preferred 6, the Danish Goretska. Pirlo’esq

Nagelsmann is the one, give him a 5year deal.
Stick to the project. Very good coach and plays great football will also have a point to prove after Bayern sacking.

speaks perfect English too.

if we don't get him it will be the best opportunity missed by Enic ever IMO
Just get a move and appoint either JN or poch. I’d be happy with either both have a point to prove and in poch”a case unfinished biz.

I think we need another thread to discuss Conte, who should we employ after Conte? Next manager or who do we want in the dugout next season.

We haven’t covered it enough.
