Forwards when the player has no passes on is the most annoying shout. Happens like 15 times a game
Had a guy sat behind me vs QPR (Redknapp's 1st game back at the Lane since he was sacked) we utterly spanked them 4-0. One of the goals we scored had 48 passes by us leading up to the goal, involving every single one of the players. The guy sat behind me must have shouted "noooo, forwardsssss" with half of those passes. I spun around to him in my celebration ready to give it to him, he was sitting in his seat, not even applauding. Hahahaha

This goal here.

At the time a record for most passes before a goal in the league. Absolutely zero press by QPR too. Look at the space.

Crazy how much this league evolved when Pep and Klopp etc got involved.

Yeah that's the one!!

Agree.

Also, remember how much talk there was about Hoddle joining them to specifically set them up with his favoured 3ATB, media wouldn't stop talking about it in the lead-up to this game. They never played £ATB again and I think Hoddle was quietly moved out (I love Hoddle but sometimes narratives are stronger than certain realities)

And at 2-0 down too, you're so right that pressball has totally taken over the game.

Not necessarily for the better from a neutral point of view.
Poch was never a Guardiola type possession mastermind, he's always been a Bielsa student, with all the flaws that come with it.

Under him we hit a nice sweet spot between being comfortable in possession and being direct.

Looks like Jesse Marsch is going to Leicester

Crazy how tactically inept we look here.

Don't they know that when you have a lead you're supposed to give the opponent the ball and not leave your own final 3rd?

Our modern tactics have come so far...

That video is proof that players aren't necessarily an issue.

We had better players on the pitch today than we did that day yet the style of play and coaching of those players are night and day.

Nothing in our play looks natural.

Look lost while defending.

Attacking, it’s like XI players who never met and the ball carrier is often isolated.
