Exactly has no real experience of building teams from the ground up. Plus the Spanish players generally are already schooled in passing football so he doesn’t need to coach them too much. How is he goons do with players who are as comfortable.
Why bollocsk to him? If we are not showing any interest in him then he is free to choose whoever he wants. How can we be upset except at the board. I see nothing wrong with a manager who had us playing fantastic football until two years (effectively) without a refresh. Then it/he went awful for some reason. If it’s a painful rebuild then it’s Poch for me. It’s very tentative but he doesn’t have to go through a stadium rebuild again and money should be available for a reputable DOF to spend. Build a team/squad he can mould again… Just don’t let him anywhere near transfers. No more N’Dombele type players thanks. At the end it was bad. And I don’t usually accede to going back to yesteryear. But anything is better than the shit we’ve been served up for years now. He loves us as a club. Just bring him back and see if he can find the lightning in a bottle again with some extra cash.
They're a long way at the moment, but Badiashile, Silva, Fofana, Cucurella, Chilwell, James, Gusto, Azpilicueta, Hall, Enzo, Kovacic, Kante, Mudryk, Madueke, Havertz, Sterling, Lukaku, Nkunku is a pretty good squad of players, a few toward the end of career but many of them with loads of development in store with the right coach. That's leaving out a good few players, Mount, Gallagher, Chalobah etc. It's a great job for whichever coach can trim squad numbers and stabilize the environment.
Nkunku is the only really exciting one in that list
