"willing to start negotiations again"

God we are so fucking deluded beyond belief its actually funny.

Now give Nagelsmann everything he wants and pretend this embarrassing 'search for a manager' didn't fucking happen.

The longer the search goes on, the more chance someone like Rodgers or Potter gets the job. We need to avoid this at all costs. This is a generic and boring appointment that would be made out of a quest for stability. When really we need to rock the boat hard

The Celtic Aussie is a better choice than the above, although considering Nagelsmann and Slot are out, a bit of a let down. I would also throw in Carrick and Xabi Alonso as people who should be considered.
To me it's a question of who will consider US? Rather than who we will consider. Potter and Rodgers won't come here. Ange might but that's not nailed on, he can afford to wait for a better and less problematic job.

I reckon that's not a bad shout seeing as 'Boro won't be in the PL next season....
Carrick has done great up there...
But for me, it would feel like Levy is trying to copy the 'Arse/Arteta' model by appointing a young, former midfielder (besides, we already have one of those at the helm, and look how that's working out!)

It reminds me of when we appointed Christian Gross... it stank of us looking down the road at Wenger, and deciding to get in a (ANY) vaguely intelligent/serious, professorial looking Germanic/French (Swiss'll do) bloke... it failed spectacularly!
...although that was nothing to do with Levy, but still, an ill-informed CLUB decision!

I'm hoping it's been Naglesmann all along and they've just decided to wait until the end of the season.

That would be swell.

I enjoy the tweets and rumours but that's just what they are. No-one really knows what we're up to - we've always kept our business pretty quiet.

Carrick now up to 7 votes.

Jack Nicholson Yes GIF

But Paratici never implemented Levy's declaration of "Spurs DNA" in his choice of Head Coaches.

Indeed, it's rumoured Paratici is the one who sabotaged the proposed Fonseca appointment, and Fonseca is far closer to that "Spurs DNA" than Nuno or Conte, as you've stated in this thread.

I see absolutely no evidence from Paratici's actions that he believed in the "Spurs DNA", except for signing talented young players like Gil & Sarr, who were promptly frozen out by his choice of Head Coach. Making those signings pointless, and a source of conflict with a grumpy Head Coach with a huge ego who wanted to blow crazy money on players like Zaniolo.

Paratici used his insider knowledge of the complicated contract / loan situations of Juve-connected players such as Romero, Kulusevski & Bentancur to sign them for Spurs. He was an insider deal maker, with good relations with a lot of agents.

I don't believe Paratici had a meaningful footballing vision for our club.
Spot on he was a cunt as well!

Until he joins someone else I’m still thinking this is the plan. The whole situation around us and him is so weird that something must be going on.

Funny how a lot on here are trying to now justify Ange! Initially everyone wanted poch or JN. Then slot came along abd went. Don’t think Ange was on the radar at all . Now people are basically trying to convince themselves his the man. It’s shit! There are better European managers out with more top level experience but now some think SPL manager is good. Neil Lennon, Martin O’Neil, Brendan all won the spl. It’s easier to coach attacking football up there as all the teams sit back v Celtic abd rangers expecting to be thumped. By default they play attacking football as they have no choice due to how the oppo setup. Now can Ange coach a team in PL to play attacking passing football when a lot of the teams do the sane thing. I’d love to see his styke v say Brighton. How would he set up? He dies t have really think tactically in the SPL. Tactics are predetermined bcos of the wank they playing against.

You’re probably right she knows everything about football. Hence we didn’t go for poch as well although that may have been pataricu as well. I reckon if left to levy from the star we would have had poch or JN in by now but he let patarici convince him to give stellin the job and then go for Enrique. Cullen convinced not to go for poch and jn.
Complete farce. The 2 best fitting candidates who have worked with youth and low budget developing teams and we choose to ignore. Reap what you sow. Whoever we get is gonna be Nuno type selection for me.

Then why did all these struggling clubs in the PL this season who sacked their managers not go for him. Villa, Leeds, wolves, Leicester,, Christ even Everton? I never once heard anyone interested in him. Let him manage one then clubs in the PL first then come to spurs. Some now his good enough to come straight into spurs.
Ffs we wanted JN in 2021 nothings changed just get him now he is free. It’s such no brainier.

I'm not sure what that proves? Ali Gold is definitely not ITK and there's nothing but vague speculation in that piece. Probably fed off the other media bullshit.

(via Brian Fantana Brian Fantana )

And here's Fabrizio Romano saying the Slot deal collapsed because we don't have a DoF structure in place, and because we weren't prepared to pay 15 million or more compensation to Feyonoord.

This patently was not smoke without fire. Levy & Munn made a move for Slot, didn't do their due diligence, and were publicly humiliated.

The useless tossers.
