As I have said a number of times, it's not his fault that his smoking hot goal machine was Alvaro Morata. It's not like he left Kane and Haaland at home because he didn't rate them.

And again, you're talking about the World Cup. They were anything but dull in the first game, thrashing Costa Rica 7-0. After that, as I've acknowledged, they had a stinker. Before that though they played some damn good football, Euro 2020, Nations League.

47 games overall, W26 D14 L7 F97 A37. 65% win rate, +60 goal difference. Thats with an eight-month hiatus when he stepped back from the job due to the death of his 7-year-old daughter.

Given our manager churn, I’m not overly impressed with his due diligence…& it abandoned him completely when he signed Paratici knowing he was under the microscope for financial irregularities back in Italy.

You don’t have to have a choice of world beaters to play with a CF and the fact that he chose to do so at times worries me if LE comes here and Kane leaves tbh.
Beating Costa Rica 7-0 and a win rate of 65% is not that great considering 80% of their matches in qualifying and friendly matches are very winnable for any spain side.
Southgate probably has a better international record than him and do we want him as our next manager?

You aren't really comparing Luis Enrique and Gareth Southgate?
 
I've got to the point where I don't really care who it is as long as they come in, pick a system, put players in their best position, build confidence, put an arm around a few shoulders and build a team that way. If any player sits outside of that (possibly Richarlison?) then get them sold and move on.

We need stability, less dramatics and some real work on the training ground. If that's Ange then so be it.

Ange had one season at Melbourne, winning the title.
 
Does it really matter who the next manager is?

We had managers did well (Harry, Jol, Poch) were sacked. we had world class and serial winners (Jose, Conte) did rubbish were sacked, we also had mediocre unknowns (Santini, Ramos, Nuno, AVB, Stellini, Sherwood) were sacked.

I can't see any type pedigree manager can work succeed in our club while Enic/Levy around. There is no hope really.
 
I'm doing a translation on inclusivity (for UEFA!) so the fight against sexism is very much on my mind.

As a result I'm SHOCKED that the following aren't on our short list:

Angie Postwoman
Louise Enrique
Julia Nagelswoman

I’m not even sure our squad is capable of playing the type of football we ultimately want to see.

At a very basic level, teams have twigged that we’re shit on the ball, they press and we cough it up. Especially at home, where we get rolled over way too much.

So all this talk of high possession, high line, flexible yadda yadda play is wonderful, but it’s not happening with our current set of players. There’s a couple of players that can help (Biss etc.), but we’re still miles off.

The last time we lost more games than we won, was the season we had 2 points from the first 8 games.

He starts the first season like that with us and he doesn't last the season.

Edit: He also had a poor 3rd season at Yokohama (again losing more than he won) so he was literally a 1 season wonder there. Kevin Muscat has done a better job replacing Ange at Yokohoma, He also replaced Ange at Melbourne and did a better job there too.

The first season transition is always the most difficult, I think we need to expect some indifferent result anyway because we will be completely changing our style of play regardless of who is in charge.

I think personally as long as we are seeing a plan on the pitch and I can see what we are clearly trying to do with gradual improvements then I'm okay with it, I understand some fans won't be though.
