Nagelsmann and the Bayern sporting director Neppe still on paper for me.

Just opinion though, based on reading one article from the Bayern website lol

I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes something like this:

Postecoglou new contract at Celtic announced tomorrow or Tuesday, Which leads to a humongous break down among fans and a huge amount of piss take. But in reality it’s because we are going another way.

Then followed by the appointment of Enrique or even Nagelsmann like you suggest towards the middle of the week. The fact we still haven’t appointed a DoF after all the talk of one really just makes me wonder if he is still on the table. Plus he hasn’t gone anywhere else.

A couple of twists and turns left yet.

We announce a DOF or Sporting Director that conveniently likes Nagelsmann or Luis Enrique and that changes everything.

By all accounts we can’t appoint one that’s pushing for Ange because he prefers to do it himself. So if it’s not done with him before he goes on holiday next week, it’s not going to be him.

I agree Nagelsmann would have been perfect, is he wasn't an arrogant ass.

I don’t want a manager that isn’t arrogant or super confident. There’s a very thin line between the two isn’t there. They’re all like that to be fair. He can cut the skate boarding to work shit out though.
I have a friend following Bayern closely. And his opinion when reading between the lines was that Nagelsmann was fired despite his results, because he didn't click with the players and the clubs management, he isn't a likeable person. And I don't think a character like that would make a success in Tottenham.

Charisma thing is massively overrated.

Kane isn't exactly the life of the party.

Play attacking football, play good football, don't leave exciting players on the bench all the time, Spurs fans will love you.

His record at every club he's been at looks like he can work with people.

Bayern is a hive of scum and villainy. Especially when Khan and Salami were there
Do you not think there maybe something about him though? Sacked at Bayern when still in all competetions, interviewed at Chelsea with him/them instantly pulling the plug, us swerving him and putting out that odd statement. All seems a bit of a coincidence.

I think there is more wrong at Bayern and Chelsea.

He reportedly said that he felt he went to a super club too early and is looking for a longer project.

Chavs gave Poch 2 years? I'm guessing he looked at the power structure at Chavs and the 2 years they wanted to offer and saw his career flash before his eyes.

Which also makes me think he's a smart guy because they are a circus.

Can also see that he made a mistake being too heavy-handed with Neuer's GK coach and may have learned from that for the next time.

I agree, Bayern is scum. For how long did he stay at other clubs? For the record, i voted for Nagelsmann in the poll. So I'm not against him, but for a long term re-build I think he's not the right person. In not sure Ange is either. But not personality vise, just unsure about his level.

Must admit I'm a bit sad Slot did fall through.

3 years at Hasselhoff
2 at RB then poached.
2 years Bayern.

pretty much perfectly set up to stick around at Spurs.

Sometimes the most obvious solution really is the right one. Occams Razor. He's at the top of the poll in this forum, would be top on any Spurs fan board in the world, except Australia maybe.

If you asked any neutral who is the best fit for Spurs and also the best candidate available, the majority would say Nageslmann.

We are all talking ourselves into other candidates because none of trust Levy to make the best decision if it means he needs to give up some control.

I think with Chelsea he turned them down as he did with us, it just sounds (and we are all guessing) like he wants a lot of control and according to Fabrizo Romano wanted to know who the DoF was and have influence in his appointing him.

In short some managers like Conte and Jose want money, this guy seems to want the club to build around his philosophy of football and neither Levy nor Boehy would go that far.

A my way or the highway type guy. Levy appointing Naglesmann with Rangnick as DoF and taking full control of the club to build something special is kind of what I wanted but to guys like Levy and Boehy that is basically telling them to get the fuck out of the way
