I think the players and manager should be supported always but I don't think there is any issue with people calling out others for defending the chairman or owners at this point considering all the lies and actions they have taken over the last few months and during their tenure on the football side.

People defending Levy on the football side of things are bad actors at this point, no doubt about it, they ignore facts and they are working actively against the club and supporters best interests, I have no sympathy for them, Levy is a liar and should be outed as such, not defended.

The bolded part, if you replied like that with all your posts then it would be reasonable, that is not how you reply 9 times out of 10, most of the time you just refuse to answer basic questions, dodge discussion and make statements like the one I quoted.

I do appreciate ENIC for their infrastructure work, I never said otherwise, I don't trust Daniel Levy whatsoever, he lies time after time and repeats the cycle over and over again because it works for ENIC and people keep buying into it.

And I'm not going to "attack" you for having that opinion, but i will challenge your second paragraph it's based on what?

Fact - we have finished higher in the league on average in the last decade than any previous decade in our entire history ... how therefore is the football side a failure?

That's not to saying we're doing well enough, in my opinion we are not ... but we are not failing by having our best decade ever, we are just failing to reach our ever higher goals.

I freely admit to stirring the pot, in my opinion that's what discussion forums are for, however if you don't like the battles then use the ignore button ... where I struggle with is the sad dozen or so who won't tolerate any differing opinion and just seek to ban anyone that doesn't tow their line ... it's what kills all football discussion sites once the admins allow that to happen ... people soon get very board of boring sounding boxes.

Sounds like us really, Spurs have made most of these mistakes over the last few years. Have we EVER managed to get a real backup for Kane?
We know that most of our stuff hasn't happened because of Levy. What's to say the board didn't back Nuno at Wolves in the same way?

I don't know, but you've tried (Vincius) and I'd guess if Kane went then you'd rotate in either Lucas or Son and play musical chairs in the positions behind Kane where you've got a bit more depth?
Nuno doesn't like big squads and unhappy players, he's on record saying that, so we just didn't have the depth.

In terms of backing him, he's been backed. The owners have backed every manager so far, they spent wild sums in championship with Walter Zenga.

18M on Neves, 20M (I think) on Jota, 18M on Adama, 30M on Raul, 35M on Fabio Silva, 32M on Semedo.

Leaks from club say Semedo was Nuno's number 1 target.
Wile the UEFA FFP settlement tied our hands, Nuno was backed in every transfer window by our owners.

I'm sure we are buying a few new defenders
We are going to see all the usual suspects again
Numo has probably got the job because he was the only one prepared to accede to Levy's ethos . i.e we will just keep everyone and spend as little as possible. Same old story, different name. I also don't like the Parasite/Mendes/ Nuno connection. It feels incestuous. I suspect Levy and Mendes have struck some kind of under the table deal
I like Nuno as a human being but I have the impression he's just a pawn in the above mentioned triumvirate.
Opening game of the season I wouldn't be in the least surprised to see Sanchez, Winks. Doherty and Dier starting
It's only my 60 years of support for this team that keeps me hanging on.

Why? If Levy really believes after a long and extensive search he has finally got the man to take us forward why only give him a two year deal? I think it's the shortest deal he has ever given to a new manager
You'd rather be locked in to a long term deal with Nuno that would require an expensive buyout if things don't go swimmingly (like the last appointment)?

We hired who we hired. If next season goes well he'll certainly be rewarded and given an extension. If it goes horribly, the buyout will be cheap. If it goes alright, he'll get a final year to show something before we make a decision.

Its also entirely possible a shorter deal was his preference as well. Seeing all the shit other managers have dealt with from afar, he might want an easy to escape deal if it turns into a nightmare for him.

Doesn't really matter. We've got a DoF now (which we all wanted, if not particularly this one), a new manager (which we all wanted, if not particularly this one), and we're starting to see movement towards signing new players.

Let's see how it works out.

Honest question here, if he fails and this appointment goes to shit, are the people defending Levy finally going to ask for his head? Or are they just going to blame the DOF forgetting who hired the DOF in the first place?
Honestly I don't really know. I am one of those posters who thinks we will never ever know the full story on what goes on at the club as all we get are rumours and hearsay or one side of the story only.

Having said that, from the rumours and hearsay it was suggested that Paratici decided against Fonseca as he wouldn't necessarily play the style/formation. So I am guessing that Nuno will play his style/formation and the players Paratici then buys for him to play that way.

Also suggested that Paratici has convinced Levy etc that Nuno can be the right manager for the job/play the right style of attacking football that the club wants.

So I would say that it is Paratici's responsibility if it goes wrong. You can then argue it was Levy's choice to appoint Paratici so its ultimately his fault.

At the end of the day you can make the argument fit whichever way you want it to. I'm pretty much beyond caring now and so tired of all this and glad that we at least have someone in place to try and lead us out of the situation we are currently in.

A lot of people on here saying this is the wrong appointment. How do any of you know that, even the guarantee a cup winner Mourinho failed.
To all you Spurs fans, relax, trust this man and his back room staff because they will put their heart and soul into turning your club into a team that will play as one, fight for every ball and never play with fear.
Yes I'm a Wolves fan but let me tell you something, you will all be singing his name and thanking your lucky stars in 3 months time. He will lead with honesty and hard work and an inclusiveness that creates a togetherness that makes football so magic.
You and your players will love him if you can leave your big time Charlie attitudes at home .He will improve your own players and bring players in that will improve your team, with or without Kane. I would have him back in a heartbeat, but he is Spurs now and I wish him and all you Spurs fans all the very best until you play us.

Bit too positive there mate for some on here.

Honest John Honest John will be stabbing himself in the eyes and hunting you down after that.

Some of us are looking forward to what he can do with a squad that is still talented, but became shell shocked after the Champs League final and never fully recovered under Mourinho's (lack of) tactics.

If, as you say he can get us performing as a unit with a never say die attitude he'll have won half the battle. Getting rid of some of the deadwood and bringing in a couple of defenders/CM's and i think we will finish top 4 easy.

Good Luck Nuno.

Looks like Pavarotti

Yes. Nuno's the best manager we've had in 40 years. I guess everyone's view is based on his last season, which is how it goes in football.

It wasn't great but there were a lot of mitigating factors. The work he did before then was fantastic and we were in a European QF only 10 months ago.

The football is not really similar to Mourinho's at all either. It is risk-averse sometimes (how much that was to do with us being newly promoted I'm not sure) but there's definitely a focus on building from the back, possession and switching play to the flanks. As well as "laying traps" without the ball then countering quickly.

It all fizzled out last season but I think he could do great things with your squad.
Good luck to you for next season.

There is no doubt that he is a really nice guy and Wolves fans appreciate that, but believe me, i have a few Wolves friends and they were all reluctantly calling for him to go due to his negative tactics and lack of ideas.

Are you Daniel Levy?

The mitigating factors were exacerbated by Nuno's poor decisions.

Jimenez injury:
2018/19:
Decided against signing Bonatini permanently and look for alternative backup for Raul.
Did not materialise, we caved and signed Bonatini, who played 1(?) Premier league game before being shipped out on loan.
We did not sign anybody to provide striker cover.
2019/20:
Signed Patrick Cutrone to compete with Jota and Raul for 1 of the two striker positions. Sent an unhappy Cutrone out on loan half way through the season.
We had no cover for Raul or Jota should either of them break.
2020/21:
Approved the sale of Jota, signed Silva to go into U23s. Did not sign a back up for Raul, our only striker.

Bare in mind at this point, Raul had played around 100 consecutive games seasons and was going into this season with a 2 week rest break and no pre season. To not sign a backup striker, even just for competition, is borderline negligence. In what world can you expect him not to pick up any injury at all?

Europa League Fatigue:
Was a tough, long season, made worse by only having a squad size of 17 rather than 25 as per the league standard.
But we weren't in Europa last season, better man management would have lessened the fatigue.
Example:
Moutinho and Neves really needed a rest, but he would not swap in Dendoncker or Otasowie into midfield, utilising Kilman and Hoever better in central defence would have freed up Dendoncker into the midfield role and give Neves or Moutinho a break.

Injury crisis:
Played Podence through groin strain for 3 months that eventually required surgery.
Played Neto through a knee injury in a dead rubber that resulted in him requiring knee surgery.
Played Boly while he was having heart palpitations and long covid, rather than rotate and use Kilman/Hoever.

Centre backs:
For a large part of the season he preferred to use the DMs at the club in the CB position, because like Raul, he failed to sign actual CBs as backup, when we sold Ryan Bennett it left Boly as the only experienced CB at the club.
Rather than use younger players at CB (Kilman, Hoever) he preferred to use the DMs, taking this resource away from a much stretched midfield.

Trust in youth:
Vitinha, Otasowie, MGW were all available to offer fresh legs in midfield. He preferred to use Vitinha (a number 8) at LW, he preferred to use MGW (a number 10) at RW, and he preferred to use Otasowie (B2B DM) in the very rare games he played as a false 9.
Even in dead rubber games, he did not play the youth in their preferred or natural positions.

Yes, there are mitigating circumstances, but every team had an injury crisis at points, every team had practically zero prep for this season, we weren't special snowflakes last season, Nuno got it wrong and we paid the price.
Quite a bit you have confirmed from my Wolves sources and what I have shared on here.
