Definitely not the manager I was hoping for, but I support him now.

Mourinho time with us has had one positive effect on me: now I know how far I can support a person I despise if he becomes our manager.

Supporting Nuno won't cost half of the effort. If he will be shit, one day I will want him out. Until then he has my full support and I hope he will do well. What does "well" mean"? Let's see our squad at the end of the transfer window.

I watched the interview with Nuno and I have to say he doesn't seem very confident. Seems like a nice guy, saying all the right things but it's not believable to me, it all seems very "yes man" and he doesn't seem confident in what he is saying about the club.

Like he brings up our youth academy by saying "I have heard we have some good youth players" he has heard or he knows?

It might be a quid pro quo. We take a Mendes manager suitable or not and in return Paratici and Mendes sort out the buys and sells to fix the staleness of the squad. On the flip side we might actually get the deadwood out the door this window.

We took Gedson Fernandes which made no sense, it just feels like Levy doing favours for Mendes in the hope we will get some decent players for affordable prices in return. Otherwise I am a bit stumped at everything that has taken place.

The way I see it, if Nuno does well, Levy has got lucky - because Nuno wasn't the plan, that's quite obvious given how long the appointment has taken for an out of work manager. So if Nuno does well, full credit to Nuno.

If Nuno does badly, then my ire will be directed at Levy for much the same reason. This appointment clearly was not part of a well thought out plan, however they try and spin it. Common sense dictates that.

As another poster said, Levy has used up all his credit with the fans now.

Think this article is spot on. Also definitely feels like Levy is trying to convince us that Nuno is the next Poch.

Honestly I feel like if Nuno doesn't hit the ground running things are going to get ugly for Levy very fast.

That makes a lot of sense actually
Hmmm that's an interesting take on it. I always assumed that Levy was in fear of the shit storm that he and the other Super League wannabe chairmen had inexplicably failed to realise was coming (talk about failing to read the room...), then when he realised, he sacked Mourinho on the Monday morning to deflect the attention on to that and away from himself. He knew that he'd probably have to sack Mourinho soon anyway, so why not choose a time that would be of personal (and immensely selfish) benefit to himself. That's what I'd always assumed had happened, or something akin to it.

Having slept on it, I've voted Yes to Nuno, because he's there, so he needs support.

I don't know about you, Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman , but every time I say his name, I have to make a sign of the cross. His name sounds like a blessing, if you chant it in Catholic Mass Latin.

Amen to that :)

Trying to find something to encourage me about this appointment. This is the best I could do. Where's that Wolves supporter to come and depress me further?
