Their appointments are often trying to be long term.
Bet you now they thought Hoddle would succeed and stay for years.
The Santini/Jol/Arnesson was blatantly long term plan.
I'd bet my arse Ramos was seen as long term
AVB beyond all doubt, with his age would have been seen as long term
Poch guarantee they saw a long term coach
Post Poch has been a shit show.

No doubt Levy still thinks he can find someone who will stay for 10 years and build a cheap empire. And some of our fans probably still believe it.
But it doesn't happen in modern football anymore.

There probably are a few cliqs within the team now as Hugo hinted at after the Zagreb away game. And I would not be surprised if Harry coming back in after his stunt in the summer pissed some of them off as well and caused more friction.

Someone like Conte coming in and being the big alpha male could be exactly what the doctor recommended for them.
 
I think a lot of you have misunderstood Sugars tweet. He's not saying he knows what is happening at Spurs.
He's saying the pricks on twitter don't.

And the ones who were a success got disillusioned by not being backed . If we do get Conte, he’ll want the backing . ENIC are the perpetual “Boy who cries wolf “ make outlandish promises & then pleads poverty. It’s nigh on impossible to trust them , if they shite on Conte , no manager worth his salt will go near us.

He is definitely gone. You don't say "no comment" to: "are you sacking the manager?". Just about who we are getting in/ putting caretaker in place.
 
Looking like it's Conte to me.

Nuno is definitely gone and they're doing similar to Poch where they have the manager lined up already to replace him. Conte talks would've been ongoing in the back ground and they already negotiated in the summer so know what is the rough guide on contract etc it's just details.

I'm convinced now we won't announce Nuno gone until Conte is over the line and you have to imagine its pretty close if they're allowing so much to go public before Nuno is actually gone

I'm not as positive that it is Conte. But I agree that Nuno won't be announced as sacked until the replacement is done and dusted.
 
The only way that bald cunt gets the fans back on board, certainly in the short term is to appoint Conte. Nobody else would get the fans on board. Get Conte in and back the guy in Jan. He’s available, has no club and is one of the best managers in Europe.

We don’t need to ‘wake up’. Long term, yes, it’s the ownership, but Nuno clearly isn’t working and has to go. It’s that simple.

I’d love Levy to follow him but it isn’t going to happen anytime soon.

Ownership needs to change, but immediately, it’s the manager that needs to go. Our stats are abysmal under Nuno.
