Why?
He'd probably come back to 70% of the squad that let him down with the 30% being the half decent ones.
Gazzaniga, Rose, Foyth, Vertonghen, Aurier, Toby, Sissoko, Lamela have all gone. Lloris out of contract in May........ Winks, Davies, Alli, Sanchez, Dier, Moura would all need to go but all of those only have 2.5 years left on their contracts so we need to get a shift on selling that lot, Poch or no Poch.

does it feel like we’re actually biding our time until Poch wins a league or Champions league title and wants to come back home
Do you really think Poch wants to work for Levy again? He's not blind or stupid. He can see we've sunk to a much lower level. He understands the ethos of our present owners. He knows coming back would be several steps backwards. I still don't understand why people think he will return. Maybe in a few years when we have new owners and a decent team. He's working with Messi. M'bappe, Neymar etc Or he could come back and work with Winks, Sanchez and Alli.

He'd only come back if had had total control.

Dele Alli is urging Tottenham fans to be patient with new manager Nuni.

The midfielder says Nuno's changes will take time to bed down.

“Last weekend, I'm sure the fans felt it a lot but believe me the players felt it a lot more. We were devastated," Alli told Spurs TV after a confidence-restoring win over NS Mura in the Europa Conference League.

“We know we're going through a period where it's important we all stay together. The fans, the players and the coaching staff.

“We're building, we're working. The transition from last season, if anyone thought it would be magical and just all slot into place, that's not the way it works.

“We're seeing things we're happy with, we're seeing things we're not happy with. We're trying to improve. Sometimes things take time.

“Hopefully not too much time, we know that, but we want the fans to stick behind us. We're going to keep working, keep fighting. We're building something."

What are you on about? Poch is a project manager, a man who relishes the challenge of building a club and club ethos and has admitted on countless occasions he would love to return to Spurs. It is also pretty common knowledge that Poch left on good terms with Levy, it was evident Poch needed to move on at the time due to various factors - Levy not spending on that summer window being one of them (but we were building a stadium so I can understand this even though it has hampered us). Poch doesn’t need a ‘decent team’ to come in, he isn’t the type of manager that demands this, he builds a team. It’s clear to me you lack insight.

its clear to me that you make things up in your head and then believe them to be true

What a load of garbage

Do they really think fans are fooled by guff like this

Surely nobody believes Levy is going to change his ways in any meaningful manner so talk of a big name proven manager who will want a big budget and control is pie in the sky it is not going to happen . Without major investment we have virtually no chance of pushing for anything serious .

Guardiola could manage a lesser team with a small budget and still be successful, he's a fantastic coach. He just won't because he's an intelligent man who knows its way less risky to go to dominant/resource rich sides where he can pick up trophies and a fat wage.

Indeed. The overwhelming likelihood is that when/if we sack Nuno, we will get another mediocre bloke on another 2 year contract who is easy and cheap to get rid of. Levy will be even more risk averse than usual after Mourinho.

The next one might play more attacking, expansive football so it may not be quite as miserable. But under Levy/ENIC I don't see see how we progress in any major way.
