WHL.

It's where 95% of my Spurs memories are.

The new stadium is obviously an amazing place to watch NFL, Taylor Swift and Guns and Roses, go abseiling or go karting or have a Michelin starred meal but the 'match day experience ' isn't even close to being the same level.
I could have written the same , except it wouldn’t have been as concise . You aced it in 3 lines , well 4 if you count WHL as a line

much prefer the new sports, and entertainment arena

go karts, Imagine Dragons, and selfie sticks

When it comes to soccer, it’s fantastic to relax in a safe and quiet environment - no swearing or rude songs, and can sit next to a new person every week, often neutral or away fans to open up boundaries. A burger for £12, served by a mute, disinterested mouthbreather is another plus

There was something special about White Hart Lane. I paid a tout £10 for a ticket standing in the East Stand. 21st Feb 1990. We lost 2-0 to a good Villa side who I think finished 2nd that season. I don't live in London anymore so haven't been to the new stadium and probably won't until we are rid of Levy so can't really vote but I did anyway. WHL all day long!!!

Tricky.

I loved old WHL, but new WHL has given me the opportunity to have a season ticket. Would I have had that in a 36,000 seater?

As for atmosphere, it's linked to success. Some of Conte era matches are as good as any I've experienced. The three derbies where we smashed Goons, Chavs and Spammers are what the atmosphere could be at the stadium. Also if we're remembering WHL at its most recent in our minds, that's during the peak of the Poch era, unbeaten at home all season.

Also, British football atmospheres just aren't what they were anyway for any club. No point putting that on the stadium.
True ... British pish feminised culture. Hi-viz cunts and rules everywhere. Don't do this ... don't say that ... smile ... you're on camera!

I actually prefer going to Loftus Road (have a mate who gets free tickets) to Spurs now. Not that I'm a QPR fan, but is at least half of what a real football crowd and atmosphere was.

Funnily enough, on Sunday I was quietly reminiscing to myself about giving your ticket to the old boy in the kiosk, getting half of it back and then squeezing in through the turnstile. A rite of passage into another world. ...Showing a QR code to someone with a scanner just isn't the same.
That said, I've just seen my first game at the new stadium without cataracts or glasses. My God, that South Stand is even more incredible when you can see. (The sound for the first 15 minutes was amazing too)

Both grounds have their benefits and drawbacks, so I don't think I can vote for one above the other. As Mrs P said, the important thing is what happens on the grass - and sadly, the only truly notable thing that's happened on the new pitch so far is that it has retracted to reveal some plastic NFL grass. Oh and we stonked to goons 3-0.

WHL for me also..

Perhaps it is just looking through rose coloured tints, but I feel that everyone in there was a die hard Spurs fan. Not so much now. I kind of get the need for more spectators, but that is what I think a lot of them are,, spectators, not supporters (fans) of Spurs. You see this when we score, the muted response from many around you, even in the South stand. You see a new face every week in the same old seats.

It is great that folk can now get hold of tickets and experience a Premier League game, but I am not sure it is helping with atmosphere.. Though, as many have said on here, the best way of generating an atmosphere is by how they are playing on the pitch.

I guess if we were sitting here with a couple of trophies and a title since the new stadium, we would not even have threads like this. But, there is definitely something missing, the crackle of the pre-match walk to the ground, how I felt it was intimidating for away fans, something that away supporter friends have told me. They didn't like going to WHL, not sure if that is something to be proud of or not..

The old WHL will always hold a special place in my heart . From my first visit as a seven year old in 1961 , it was just a really special place . Plus the fact of actually winning things whilst playing there .

The new stadium , fantastic as it is , just doesn't have those wonderful memories , yet !

It is perfectly possible to generate a really good, hostile atmosphere at the new stadium (just look at the Woolwich game in 2022).

But it appears atmospheres like that are few and far between.

Imagine if the majority of games had that level of hostility. Would be a thing of beauty.

The club chooses not to by opening up the ticket exchange and increasing memberships for £25, which enables tens of thousands neutral and day trippers to attend any game they wish

Modern stadiums gave killed the atmosphere at home games. Away days still feel the same because you are the minority and that camaraderie amongst everyone is always there.

At the new stadium I can honestly say that on a handful of occasions has been incredibly loud. Woolwich under conte,a couple of games under city,Liverpool at home last season and Villa at home this season was great.

Going to the new stadium is great but the old ground was class.

Tomorrow night will be brilliant at Ibrox. Not looked forward to a game so much for years.
