Ex-Spurs Player Oliver Skipp

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Funnily enough, he was part of the leadership group alongisde Kane, Hugo, Dier and Hojbjerg. He is the last of the old "regime" to go.

Edit: a Twitter page has also picked up on it.

I'm very glad the changing of the guard has happened but I just felt the warm glow of nostalgia there for a moment. They might not have got that silverware we crave but there were some good times.

Sad to see him go but he wasn't good enough for where we wanna be. Good luck to him he will have a solid lower PL career I'm sure.

Changing of the guard is very interesting been very Poch like in the gutting of the squad. This is most certainly Anges squad now so hopefully we start seeing some better results.

Wish him well. Always had high hopes for him and early on thought he had the makings of a future captain for us. Just never managed to add that final bit of quality that I thought he needed. Good luck to him though.

It’s important to produce good youth players, even if we eventually sell them. Clubs release or sell the vast majority of youth players but we need to be up there with Man Utd and Chelsea in getting good fees for young players.
Chelsea have too many to list. They paid for Lukaku by selling 3.
Man Utd recently sold Elanga 13m, James Garner to Everton, around 12m.
A few of Kanes group went for decent fees. Caulker, Livermore, Townsend .
Good luck to Skippy.

Close to £140m over the last 12 months selling youth products.

Kane was obviously a hefty amount of that but near 40m for Skipp, Winks and Parrott is pretty damn good.

Wish the lad well..his early expectations havnt really been fulfilled, injury hasn't helped either but I'm.not having a go at him.
He's a prem class player simply not top half class but the fee is warranted in today's market.
He'll find his level and will not have to work again when his career is over if he's clever.
All the best son.

In relation to whom though?

I think £20m is more than fair, he's 23 and has had 2/3 years exp in the Prem and also they're probably gonna go down again he's Championship tested, he'll be at that club for at least another 2-3 years.
To compare with our own players, Lo Celso for example. I read that we will sell him for 13m.

Skipp doesn't have a higher level in him so what you pay for now is as good as it's going to get. If they invest for the championship, that makes sense but don't pay 20m + for a mediocre championship level player I'd say. However, fantastic business from us to capitalize on their desperation.

4-5 skipps should get you a world class player. important to sell them near peak value. we hung onto winks far too long, weve cashed out with skipp quite well.

Actually restored some of my faith in the direction we're going in.

Good move for him; still stays in the prem (tho I think a top champo team would have been ideal for him and come back up like winks... needs to rebuild his performance standard).

Hopefully he can rediscover that Norwich loan form.

Good luck, Skippy.
