Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The manager is slowly revealing his deck. As a fan I need to listen to his key words more

Patience, confidence, transfer windows

Maybe the approach is such because he knows the players we have are prone to mistakes. With better players this system could well look completely different

1st Romero
2nd Davies, Diet, Lenglet
3rd Sanchez Tanganga

1st
2nd Doherty
3rd Royal
4th Spence

1st
2nd Perisic, Sessegnon

1st Hojbjerg, Bentancur
2nd Skipp, Bissouma
3rd Sarr, White

1st Kulusevski
2nd
3rd Moura

1st Son
2nd
3rd Gil

1xt Kane
2nd Richarlison

You know that's not what I meant.

It shouldn't have taken a last minute goal to beat Lisbon, the same as we shouldn't have got beat to them at their place, and we should have come away with more than a point in Frankfurt.

"Shouldn't?"

Would have been nice, but we have 6 games within which to qualify like anyone else...... Much like the oppo have the right/impetus to fight for their own 'lives' (qualification).

As for Kane's goal, it's been and gone

So has the Sissoko CL final penalty... So has Gazza's FK at Wembley.... So has being shithoused out of the ECL group last season by Renes & UEFA; they're still pivital moments in those cup campaigns though.

None of it matters tomorrow night however; I'll concur to that.

Dudedad What GIF

The problem is, you may have been joking, but there really are a lot or people who refuse to acknowledge the bad and want Poch back asap

I don't necessarily want Poch back, but I'll never slander him. He got to a CL final with Winks and Sissoko as his starting midfielders. The lack of backing from Levy was criminal.

The project that he signed up for entailed operating with a limited budget whilst we built a stadium.... Not only did he sign up for it, he signed a second deal on big money mid-way through.

The timing sucks considering things clicked for us on the field (we've spent a fair chunk since), but that's Spursy(*) for ya.

Hojbjerg and Romero missed training the day before sporting last week and both started.

Given the length of their absences, Kulu & Rich are extremely unlikely to feature if they don't make training.

With a shot-term absence such as Rom; a last minute inclusion is a bit more credible.

I don’t know, but if him being on a Bluetooth call to Poch the whole time didn’t give it away as a joke, surely the high press for 90 minutes did? I might settle for a 9 minute press at this point.

Really hope Romero isn’t holding back for the WC. He doesn’t seem that kind of character.

Even having Kulu and/or Richarlison on the bench would be a huge boost.

We have to go through here!

Anyone else think there will be fireworks outside the team's hotel? Not sure our players will be getting any sleep tonight.

If no Romero, Kulu or Richarlison which seems likely then Lloris, Doherty, Dier, Lenglet, Davies, Perisic, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Kane, Son. I reckon a nervy 1-1, them scoring first. Goes to show though 3 injuries and we're really struggling for quality.

If we don't qualify, it's not on VAR, it's on Tottenham.

We should have wont his group. Some of the performances have been awful, the application has been poor.
We have given a fucking dreadful account of ourselves in the CL so far this season, a farcry from our run under Redknapp and a couple of the Poch runs.

However, the year we got to the final we hardly tore up the group stages, and ultimately these results mean nothing providing we get through.

Win this game, win the group, and then forget all about it!

I was all aboard the 3 in the middle train, but after seeing it for a few games, I now want to get off.

3 up top.
You need 3 midfielders with a much better balance of skillsets for 352, putting 3 of our cms in there just makes us even more stodgy than we already are...

I had allowed myself to be seduced by the many claims of it giving us more control of games, but now I've seen it in action I'm under no further illusions that perming any 3 from Hoj/Skipp/Bentancur/Bissouma will ever bring forth sexy football...
