Match Olympique de Marseille VS Tottenham Hotspur. Tuesday 1st November. UEFA Champions League. 8PM KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We have given a fucking dreadful account of ourselves in the CL so far this season, a farcry from our run under Redknapp and a couple of the Poch runs.

However, the year we got to the final we hardly tore up the group stages, and ultimately these results mean nothing providing we get through.

Win this game, win the group, and then forget all about it!
Getting through to the next round is massive for our season, both financially and transfer wise.

Having the ability to offer UCL football post World Cup will attract players and also keep others around.

You need 3 midfielders with a much better balance of skillsets for 352, putting 3 of our cms in there just makes us even more stodgy than we already are...

I had allowed myself to be seduced by the many claims of it giving us more control of games, but now I've seen it in action I'm under no further illusions that perming any 3 from Hoj/Skipp/Bentancur/Bissouma will ever bring forth sexy football...
If we had a proper attacking midfielder then I'd be happy with 3 in the middle. A Maddison, Eriksen type would be great.

I agree, as much as I have hated our run so far, I just want us to go out and win this one then all will be forgiven, at this stage all that matters is still being in it for the next draw...

Not exactly convinced we will make it though, if we set up uber-defensive I think we will blow it, need to go out aiming to win and top the group, falling just short of that would then see us draw and at least still go through.

I think going in with the mindset of ensuring a draw and thus qualification is too dangerous, as if we fall slightly short then we are fucked...

Sorry to disappoint you, but Stellini’s in charge

I hope Kane and Son step up tomorrow.

They're two of the best strikers in Europe and have been so quiet over the last few games. Remember when we played Dortmund at Wembley in the group stages? Won 3-2 the goals Kane and Sonny scored that night! UNSTOPPABLE!!

Remember when Kane would pick up the ball at the edge of the box and pick out the inside netting of the goal with ease! Sonny used to shoot more too in the past I feel.

Maybe it's the opp we play or the current "style" I just feel like everyone says "if it wasn't for Kane and Son yadda yadda" but they're not those guys YET this season.

Tomorrow night would be a great start.

It's fecking annoying that we have not done better in this group.
Tomorrow would have been an ideal game to give an opp to Spence, Sarr and even Devine.

Unfortunately it’s much easier for opposing defenders to deal with Kane and Son now because of simple numbers. In our pomp we had those two plus Dele and Eriksen, four players who could score and assist. Last year it was down to 3 with them plus Deki. With our current injuries it’s just the two of them.

It’s very difficult for only two players to run the entire attack. Opponents can afford to double up on them now without having to worry about a third attacker. At least with Richi we had a third forward who could cause trouble. When defenders look up and see Emerson where Deki should be they don’t have to give a fuck.

If Sanchez and Royal start , I think I will spend the evening behind the sofa .

We look a completely different team when we have 2 wingbacks capable of attacking. Dier did a better job there than Emerson for fucks sake..

It won't be Spence, we know that.. Not in a game of this magnitude. I think it'll either be Doherty or Perisic on the right, and Sessengon on the left. But it genuinely wouldn't surprise me if it was Emerson still, Conte seems like he's trying to prove he's right.
Surely he’s done now

If I should be right once in my life, then our group is the one in which everything (!) is still possible?!

I won't calculate anymore, I won't read anymore!

I'm hot as frying fat and will join me on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 after the final whistle!

Hope to celebrate with you! :coys:

Still 27 hours and 32 minutes! (Can't post, need to constantly change time):wall:

Pin this on the dressing room door...

If you want to see the lengths scum Journo's go to twist things, then take a look at this taken from above: "The Chilean lost in one north London derby in seven against Spurs, scoring two goals". Now, do you want to know how many he won in those 7 games, ONE.
