Match Olympique de Marseille VS Tottenham Hotspur. Tuesday 1st November. UEFA Champions League. 8PM KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

They've got a couple of ex gooner pricks in their team so they will be motivated and want to be noticed. Not sure what the crack is with romero. Seems like the Argentinians cant handle the rigours of premier. Lo celso and lamela were the same.
I know this will get a barrage of hate on here but I am thoroughly underwhelmed with Romero at this point

Yeah he's our best CB , a very low bar mind

But he's constantly injured and has been no great shakes when he's actually been on the pitch in recent months

I think he'll go with the 352 in the belief it will keep us tighter. Then we will go a goal down and he'll throw Lucas on.

I wouldn't mind it as long as we go with Doc and Perisic at wing back and Sanchez isn't in the team but I reckon he goes:

Lloris
Sanchez - Dier - Davies
Doherty ---- Bissouma ----- Perisic
Bentancur --- PEH
Kane --- Son

It's very tough to decide who replaces Romero. Sanchez wasn't good at the weekend but neither was Lenglet. Maybe we could play Tanganga? I just hope it's Dier in the middle of the three. Don't fancy Lenglet in that position at all.

Just to show how bad our away European record is with this group of players, our last 10 away results:

Frankfurt: Drew 0 - 0
Sporting: lost 0 - 2
Mura: lost 1 - 2
Vitesse: lost 0 - 1
Rennes: drew 2 - 2
Pacos: lost 0 - 1
Zagreb: lost 0 - 3
LASK: drew 3 - 3
Ludogorets: won 3 - 1
Antwerp: lost 0 - 1

You'd think they'd be up for this but they rarely are.

I knew it was bad, but that away record in Europe is shocking. Romero a big miss. If they press us with intensity it will be a really hard night. We need massive performances from the spine of our team... Hugo, Eric, Hoj-Benta and Kane. Not confident.

move dier to RCB and lenglet into CCB so sanchez doesnt play and thats probably the best we can chuck out right now.

least doc and perisic gives us some attacking quality from wide too, docs runs and perisic crossing ability. its not a great side but surely enough to get the job done tomorrow

Thing is, that team is good enough to get the win. It’s not really the team selection that I take issue with, it’s the passive play. If that team is picked and puts pressure on Marseille, takes the play to them instead of sitting back, they could do the job.

Nervous. Obviously capable of beating them, but recent evidence suggests it will be a struggle. Sanchez has been really poor recently. Would be a nice time for Bissouma or Doherty to come out and have a great game.

Remember under Gerry Francis he had 'terror Tuesday'. Basically players ran the whole day. Got loads of injuries and anderton was out for ages as well. In the end francis resigned. Is a concern these injuries I have to say.
Its these 'new' pitches... Balls run wonderfully true and for playin footie on, in many ways they're perfect... BUT they are absolutely Rock hard and NOT easy on muscles or joints..and falling over on it... Well... There's no give like there was under turf. Imagine falling on concrete with a layer of turf on it ... And you'll not be far away

3-4-3 with Gil would be good. I think he's been brilliant in the two games he's come on as a sub. He seems much tougher on the ball and winning the ball back getting stuck into tackles. Creating chances every time he gets on the ball. Deserves a start and he'll want to impress and will give it everything he has

yeah, cos Conte's idea of 352 seems to be play one of the CMs as a winger in a 343 anyway. Which is pretty much what he did with Skipp last game.

I have a feeling this game will swing the way of the team that plays the dirtiest game.

A draw will suit us, but I am not sure Lloris / Sanchez can sustain 90 minutes without some sort of brain fart.

Bissouma has been very poor, and I feel a start for Lucas may give us the pace we need to draw fouls in dangerous areas. This ref has a history of giving plenty of penalties, so lets run at them and draw the fouls.

Much prefer we chase the early goal(s) and then park the bus; rather than leaving it late chasing a goal.

Sorry but lucus has been absolutely awful. He just runs into people constantly, loses the ball and offers nothing. Has to be Gil for me. At no point should we park the bus. Chase a goal..then chase another. We cannot just sit on a. 1-0 because we WILL concede and it's a nervy finish
