it really puts 5th place at Xmas into perspective, Ange has had to deal with some insane injuries and suspensions... and it only gets wors next month with AFCON & Asian Cup!!!

We've had one bench, yes. But what about second bench?

As close to ‘on a plate’ that for Richy. Could be the final nail in the coffin. Have to take those chances at this level. Poor awareness, had enough time for a second touch.

It’s not regressing them, their skill sets just aren’t in alignment with what those roles need in the system. Both are far better suited to a low block and counter system.

It's just a lack of technical quality in the team overall.

This improves massively with Madders, Romero and VDV.

The issue really is the forward line. No strong wingers makes Angeball very difficult.

Summer focus needs to be on a top quality forward.

Move on the likes of Richy, Perisic, Gil etc. And get a class winger in to start.

Ultimately we need to come up with a plan for Son. Is he our proper number 9? If so, stop shunting him out on the wing.

If he can't play that role then we need someone else to do it. I don't think Richy is that guy long term.

Agree. You're not going to replace Harry, but a proper 9 is what's needed. A focus. Someone who can play with their back to goal and doesn't mind putting there their head in.
