He is playing against a nothing team. I think Wharton is good. I'm not sure he can impose at the highest level.

Not questioning that he is good
A question of how gppd.

He’s had numerous huge game performances against the likes of city and Liverpool (including in the FA cup final..) so I’d call that the highest level. He’s also just consistently stood at in the best league on the planet.

He’s top class.

He just disagrees with the general narrative for the sake of it, time and again. It start to grate a fair bit.

He’s running the game in a European cup final.

He’s the focal point of the entire Palace side. Always there as an out ball. Brilliant against a press. Brilliant passer. Very level headed.

Will probably end up at City.

I really don’t want Woolwich winning the CL, that goes without saying. But if the worst comes to worst, it would be kinda funny to see the Premier League teams win all the European trophies after some of the talk about it not being what it was.

I probably rate rice higher than anyone on here but he’s nowhere near as good a passer as Wharton. He’s better at almost everything else but passing ain’t one of those things.

Wharton is the best English passer of a ball after Kane and maybe Trent.

If Wharton had Rice’s off the ball attributes and mentality, you would be talking about one of the very best players in the world. He’s still more than young enough to get better in many of his weaker aspects. I think it is time he left for a bigger club, as good as Palace have been for him.
