The funny thing is listening to these spaniards complain about crystal palace having too much money, but they happily share a league with Real and Barca.
I agree the real issue here is that nobody likes Palace or equivalent winning European trophies.

I feel like only the supporters of glory hunting clubs (or Brighton) would be against Crystal Palace winning a trophy.
I can think of a funnier scenario:
Aston Villa
Crystal Palace
Woolwich
...same as it worked out better when WE qualified for the EUROPA whilst simultaneously denying Arse the titie 2 seasons ago... Funny that we got so much stick for it at the time, but there was a bigger plan at play!
That's the thing, when it comes to Palace, (or Villa for that matter) I'm kinda ambivalent... Let them have their moment in the sun, their fans have made fantastic memories, same as we did last season...
Only difference is, when WE do anything of note, even DARING to get happy at staying UP..., the whole country seems to be frothing at the mouth at the idea and hell bent on stomping out or diminishing any shred of enjoyment WE might glean from it!

Because he’s English however, we have to listen to people try to convince us that Jordan Henderson’s leadership and experience is more valuable to the 3 lions, and that players who go about just tackling are more effective.

Think you'll find that most people want him in the squad as he's more than good enough, the reason he's not there ie because of Tuchel and how he wants to profile his team going into the World Cup.
I doubt Glasner will ever repeat such feats elsewhere, and I doubt Palace will also repeat the achievements of the last 12 months. Just incredible.
Glasner, with less, did more than Pochettino was able to do, for perspective. No question at all.
You can sense Glasner would like to stay and that Palace would like to keep him, but leaving on the highest of highs is the way to do it.
Never go while fans are booing. Like a really good meal, prepared for you. Always leave a little bit, to show it was lovely, and just the right amount.

People like to dump on themselves (not literally!) and others, hate not having something to moan about.
The World Cup is around the corner though and the self-loathers are already gearing up to enjoy England's failure.
He’s great. I don’t think anyone, including Tuchel, thinks Henderson at this age is a better player. I’ll be fair to Henderson: at his peak he was a lot more than a tackler.
He’s there now as a cheerleader. Which I agree is weird but Tuchel clearly values harmony and has a very specific vision for this England team.
I can kind of get the Wharton based on physicality and how Tuchel likes big men but the Bowen one is really odd. It feels like Bowen has been killed by the West Ham tax. He has 20 G/A and he is so much more than a G/A player, his hold up play means he can play CF, he works hard. On form only Kane is a better attacker than Bowen this season and he would make a great Salah replacement for Pool. He offers both physicality and talent. The only thing he lacks vs Sake or Madueke is a bit less pace but he is still quick.
Same people that buy only Spanish Lager and voted to Remain. People that hate their own country and its history.
I've seen that UEFA have noticed and are now looking into ways to balance the Europa and Conference leagues because of the financial disparity that even clubs like Palace have over most European clubs.
That's all well and good but they sat with their thumbs firmly up their ring pieces while European leagues were dominated season after season, decade after decade by Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Milan, Juve etc etc. And did nothing.
So now those leagues are shite and can't attract an International audience. Where as the PL does.
Bottom line is and I am generalising here, Not all etc. But Europeans for the most part don't like us...
I think it's between him and Anderson right now, and Tuchel likes Anderson's better work off the ball. There is a world where they could play together, but that would probably mean dropping Rice, which isn't going to happen. We should just embrace having some high quality midfielders as that wasn't the case only 10 years ago.
In the squad it should have been Rice, Anderson, Wharton and Mainoo. They are clearly the 4 best English CMs.
Wharton is a winner and he’s proven it again.
If the temperature is going to be in the high 80s with high humidity what is the point of players that can only run about a lot? They won't be able to do that unless they want a trip to casualty, so you need players that bring something else to the game.
