When you put political messaging onto the pitch like this, you can't just ban dissent and force everyone to agree with you. That's why you should keep it out of football. Football fans are united in their support of a team, not the policies the current crop of players happen to espouse.

It's not been misconstrued though, the players literally said it was for BLM. It's not against racism in general, it's a very specific political ideology.
