Rice is like exactly the profile of player that team desperately needed to kick on. Wanyama was transcendent that season but a less complete player and it wasn't to last.
It definitely is. Rice led all the defensive metrics last season & has been bought for 100m. He's England's 2nd name on their team-sheet.
He's a better player than Victor Wanyama and always has been. Both very good defensively at peak but Rice is better on the ball.
