They won the FA Cup with Xhaka in midfield when they had Ceballos in midfield alongside him and David Luiz at centre back. His last season they were 2nd in the league. With Rice in the team they have better players but worse results.
If they had kept Xhaka and bought a centre forward with the Rice money they would have won the league.
