You're right. I think it's mainly because we've been awful but the overall quality has been so low.
Top 5 is very weak considering these teams are suppose to be the best in the league, incredibly enough all of them didn't win this weekend.
He’s a competent footballer who is a jack of some stuff but master of nothing really. An upgrade on Bentancur but I wouldn’t want him.

At the PL level, any genius is coached out of players.

This is why I watch other leagues.
Tighter leagues like La Liga, Bundesliga PSG have appeared to smash again.

All the teams are so over coached, its boring as fuck and has been for a while. Add in VAR and the whole corporate experience, top flight football is dead.
Been watching a lot of non league football its far more entertaining and actually feels like im watching football not soccerball or whatever the Prem is these days
But the market has been so badly inflated with insane fees on literally kids ever since Yamal broke into the scene. The massive wages in this sport at the top tier is making everyone just keen on making all the money in the shortest time possible and retire before 30s. Is insane.
Related to my post above. I feel players are no longer putting in the effort as much as they used to before since they are already earning millions easily in their basic salary, especially in this league. I don't think performance bonuses, if they still are a thing, meant anything to them at all. Why risk themselves to injuries uncessarily.
Lesser league with lower wages fight harder, translating to more excitement.

I've already mentioned this in another discussion in here. But I also think that the clubs at the top of the table/in Europe are going to start playing more and more conservative football now because of the ever increasing game schedule. The players earn millions but they aren't indestructible so playing at a slower, more methodical pace will probably be how clubs go about preserving their players.
Clubs further down the pecking order or in smaller leagues will not have this issue so they can still play a more intense style.
I think it was struggling pre-VAR but since its implementation it has completely destroyed the game at the top level. From not being able to celebrate going freely 100% to having to wait an age for decisions, it’s just not as good. I guarantee if it went it would change the game for the better. I must have watched over 10 lower division games this season and not once have I thought they were missing VAR.
It is now (and I hate to use the word) a “product” for tourists, those watching on tv and a foreign audience. It’s no longer a game for those who go every week or even a couple of games a season when they can afford it.
All other leagues are equally as shite, it's not just the PL. The standard of football in general has dipped, look at the last WC and Euros and Real Madrid's continued dominance of the CL despite not being a great team.
I can’t think of any worse than this one and yesterday’s Manc Derby typified it!
