Lisbon to Sheffield isn't a journey that would appeal to me.

Not really. Wycombe massively punching above their weight against a financially doped team with a budget of millions.

WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU GOT AGAINST DEADPOOL AND WALES?

Semi-joking aside, Wanderers only dropped down to league one a couple of seasons ago. Losing 4-0 at home to a rival at this point is definitely giving it up. I just looked up the average player wages and they are pretty much the same (I guess FFP is a thing at all levels?). I know Wrexham have 'movie money', but I think that's just levelling as they progress, so it seems to be a legitimate achievement. Who knows what they are paying behind the scenes, though, they might be doing a citeh.

They went up during covid due to the points being averaged out. It was a historical achievement for them. I’ve supported them for as long as spurs and since they were a non league club in the 90s. They don’t have anywhere near Wrexham’s long history in professional football.

Anyway, they and Birmingham have much bigger budgets than everyone else in the league. Anyone who beats them in a promotion race is achieving something. Wrexham have more money than everyone else in the divisions they’ve played in the last three years. It’s the only reason they are where they are.

Charlton are on a great run and play Wrexham next so we’ll see. But yeah fuck Wrexham.
