We don't have money to land a player like this, simply impossible to finance. This guy has a release clause and as such they will expect money to paid in one or in as few installments as possible and payment structures like these are very difficult to budget into FFP/PSR etc. when you don't have CL money.

It's been a while since we had CL, while not in a terrible position our current financial position is one that doesn't let us make this type of signing.
