Kovacic and Rice are a downgrade on Gundogan and Bernardo Silva.
Rodri, Kovacic, Phillips and Rice is a pretty defensive group.

I think West Ham want Phillips and they’ll swap those two over. Is Silva really leaving? Guardiola seems to love him.
I’ve got a feeling they are going to bid for Kane at some point this window too.

reckon they will target szosboslai basically the ideal de bruyne replacementYeh Moyes apparently loves Philips so that is an obvious one. City will probably have Kovacic, Rice, Gvardiol coming in with Philips, Walker, Bernardo Silva, Mahrez, Gundogan leaving.
They look an AM short to me, Foden will get more game time and that kid Cole Palmer looks a special talent but they probably need 1 additional AM. Haaland and Alvarez are good so don’t think they will go for Kane personally.

not as good passing but the same long shot ability, set piece specialistI've seen quite a lot of him and he doesn't have De Bruyne's passing range. Alexander-Arnold would be much closer to KDB like for like, the closest I can think of, but obviously that won't happen.
Just though this could be City’s team next season
Ederson
Akanji Ruben Dias Gvardiol
Rice Rodri
Foden De Bruyne Grealish
Haaland
Their defensive set up is now just as impressive as the attack.

Why would they want to give their opponents an advantage playing with 10 men?
