I doubt 150k p/w is accurate .. that would be crazy.

The only other explanation really does come down to bald man being bad at selling our dross.
Chelsea give big wages to their army of on loan players and kids, there's no concrete info but most are reporting 150k (Hudson odoi 120k).

He has 12 months left so will probably take a paycut but the 16m for him seems like bad business on Milans side rather than anything else.

They have tried to get rid of RLC before and he's stayed around, let's see how it plays out

Nah, I think Porro will do big things here. He’s got quality and like the rest of our squad, just needs some stability to succeed.
I don’t know how he’ll perform in a new system. I like the guy’s attitude but that’s not the point.
He was the guy that Wiggy specifically picked out as his season-changer. As a result, we paid £40m for a RWB for a player who had transferred for less than £8m four months earlier and whose parent team, probably the most astute in Europe, wouldn’t buy back for less than half we paid. We did this to support a manager who played an inflexible system and who wouldn’t put pen to paper to sign an extension. His family were still living abroad and no one should have been surprised when he forced the club to fire him. Meanwhile, a Champions League club backed by the deepest pockets in the sport are currently negotiating for a potential homegrown star for a fraction of the cost.

Yeah, I feel cheated.

Rate him very, very highly but that's being dragged in to the realm of overpaying and ridiculously high, unmatchable expectations.

165m on Rice + Havertz is also an absolute shitload to spend on two players.

That badly need him if Partey the rapist is off and he can match Partey’s level, he is also a much longer term proposition than Partey. Yeh it’s crazy figures but he is far more worth it than Enzo Fernandez.

I don’t think this is it to be honest last time it was the structure that West Ham hated and if it’s 100m over 5 seasons they will reject. City could match or provide better terms. Rice to me is about £80m as a player, £100m+ would be De Jong but seems this summer he is off limits.

This is all correct but virtually nobody on this board was saying this at the time. There was the usual frenzy about us not meeting the price and paying the fee.

I've been saying it for years our problem is not how much we spend but how fucking shit we are at actually scouting and spending it wisely. Our recruitment is diabolically bad and at times totally incompetent.

All on City now. If they provide a slightly better deal think that will be it and it will be accepted.

If i was City i'd just put 120M on the table as a way of saying fuck you, look who's wearing the big boy pants around here. What do they care anyway it's a couple of extra barrels of oil money to them.

Ridiculously overpriced already, 100M for a defensive midfielder. The game has well and truly gone.

They will obviously talk to Sullivan and Sullivan will ask if City have a better offer in the pipeline, if not then he won’t have a choice but to take the Woolwich deal, if they do then it’s City’s. Sullivan to be fair is getting the big money.

Woolwich mouthpiece now eh?

Pushing like he never did before. :harrylol:

Romano is proper noshing off and gargling arteta off !!

Even though Citeh don't need Rice as much as the scum do, I do think it is in their interest to make another bid just so Woolwich don't get him.
