A Newcastle fan I know thinks they are in for Chiesa and that will be their next signing as long as the likes of Man City and Liverpool don't bid for him. A midfield of Tonali, Guimaraes and Joelinton with a front three of Saint-Maximin, Chiesa and Isak you have to say looks pretty tasty.

Newcastle probably would have been better off signing Ruben Neves for half the price.
He lacks ball progression and doesn't retain the ball particularly well. It will certainly be interesting to see how he does in this league. I'm going to lean on the fence (from my experience watching him) that he'll be as unspectacular as he's been his whole career.
I think he’s improved over the last couple years. I wasn’t blown away initially, but last couple years he’s developed. He’s not really a specialist, and not the most athletic, but he’s tenacious, works really hard and is technically good. Thing is, he gives a team a very similar set of qualities to Guimaraes.
He does press well. I'll give him that. And Howes Newcastle specialise in that.
But if they lose Bruno for any period of time. They are pretty much fucked.
He's a very good player. Probably not quite Borella level who they were strongly linked with, but a big improvement on Longstaff (although he had a good season) which goes without saying really.
