Also, I'm sure the money is nice and a big part of the decision, but some of these kids must just be OK not playing football. There's way too many players there, especially in a season where they aren't in Europe.

To be fair it kind of does look that way with Liverpool, I know it is probably not but to have a clear lead on a player for months at £50m, refuse to budge by giving a £40m offer then target Caicedo for £110m only to then match for Lavia is incompetence of the highest order. They could have paid £50m weeks ago, got the player and moved on.
