Player Pape Sarr

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think he would benefit from being in a midfield 3 or even a 4 if we were ever to drop this 5 at the back garbage. Until then, he's a young lad and will have his work cutout.

Lots to like about him though.

Thought he played quite well today, especially considering his age, experience in the league, and that NLD isn’t a normal fixture. Would even go so far in saying he was the only positive.

Unlike Højbjerg he also doesn’t seem to be super dependent on his midfield partner to have a good game.

That can't be right people here told me he was shit and couldn't play EPL football and never would. If Pochettino is coaching this lads had a full season under him near enough. He is better than Hojbjerg now. I want him starting games with a fit Bentancur

Poch: "It take 12-18 months to break a new player in" yadda........

Conte's made a rod for his back with Spence, but Sarr has been here just over 5 months and has been trusted to start a NLD ahead of 2 players with much more EPL experience.

I think he and PEH are very different player..... Sarr seems happy to sit deep, break and link play whereas PEH is far more happy (and effective) playing more of an 8 role and joining attacks.... Even Skippy was pushing further ahead of the 2 when he and Sarr played together.

Did ok considering.

Not sure what Yves has done but he should be starting, he's our most rounded midfielder imo but hasn't looked like the player he was at Brighton. PEH is a jack of all trades master of none, can't fault his effort but he's not quite good enough technically nor is he athletic enough. Bent is a tidy enough player.

Thought he was decent yesterday. Him and Kulu the only two that didn’t either disappear completely or stink the place out.

He needs a bit more tactical discipline I think, but in his defence, nobody else was chasing that lot when they had the ball, so he had to be all over the place. There might be a good player there if he gets a run in a settled midfield.

I worry for this lad. I hope he us not about to get lost in the musical chair throwing that's about to break out. It so easy to stall a good young player if he isn't going to get real important regular gsme time at Spurs send him on loan to Palace. He is technically only behind Bentancur as a potential top internal player. No wonder Cisse rates him so highly.

Judging by his performances so far he must play.

I fear that he only will if Conte changes tactics and goes with 3 in midfield.
