I have posted before that there is a correlation between time spent under sweet Angelos and performance.
He's not being taught when I raised this about the specificity of this Angeball crap over a year ago the place was full of Celtic and Aussie nut jobs screeching.I'm at that point where generally I'll refrain from judging some players because I think Ange is making them worse, however I don't see this guy becoming anything special.
He's all legs and not much else.
When he was at his 'best' last season, I said he just reminds me of a more central Sissoko, in terms of athletic but very little technical ability. I got massacred, but I think my analogy holds weight.I'm at that point where generally I'll refrain from judging some players because I think Ange is making them worse, however I don't see this guy becoming anything special.

I still don't think my eyes have recovered from Sissoko's first two seasons, when his heavy first touch meant that the ball looked magnetically repelled from him. When he was at his 'best' last season, I said he just reminds me of a more central Sissoko, in terms of athletic but very little technical ability. Sissoko, at the age of 27 and on the back of a strong Euro 2016 showing, was supposed to be a marquee signing who would walk right into the starting 11. Adjusting for inflation, £30M was a big signing back in 2016. Sarr, by contrast, was a cheap punt that people initialy didn't expect much from. These expectations are slowly shifting though, understandably so.
Will he ever develop the necessary defensive instincts, spatial awareness, positional discipline and ball playing ability to play as a single pivot? I don't see it. Even in a double pivot he might be a big burden to his partner in those respects. Conversely, will he ever develop the necessary composure, finishing, creativity, vision etc to be a threat around the box as an attacking midfielder? I don't see this either. We know he is a box-to-box CM in a 3 man midfield, but can he offer anything else? If not, would that be enough for him to have a long-term future here?
I guess any player could do with better coaching, so much so that the statement itself is dangerously close to sounding like a truism. But does he actually have strong foundations that those hypothetical coaches/managers can build upon? I don't see in Sarr what I see in players like Gray and Bergvall.
He was the epitome of modern football, in the sense that it shows being purely an athlete can get you far in the sport. Truly awful footballer though.I still don't think my eyes have recovered from Sissoko's first two seasons, when his heavy first touch meant that the ball looked magnetically repelled from him.
His ball striking is way beyond Sissoko and always will be.When he was at his 'best' last season, I said he just reminds me of a more central Sissoko, in terms of athletic but very little technical ability. I got massacred, but I think my analogy holds weight.
I agree with this. He’s a very good squad player but I do think he’s limited quality wise but shows the odd glimpse here and there but nowhere near enough.I think Sarr fits a good back up type role. Someone with good legs who can do a lot of work but is a bit limited quality wise. For me he isn’t a starter level player but he is still useful. Doesn’t help he has to play all the time like many of our players.
Sissoko was rubbish at anything technical. Just an athlete.
That’s how the internet works.Every time he has a good game people here say this guy is a monster.
