Surely the FA will intervene eventually on player welfare grounds. What a joke this situation is. A Dawn French type joke, completely unfunny.

Even when he’s not making unforced errors, his timidness on the ball disrupts the flow at times. A momentary hesitation before making a pass, or passing it slightly ahead/behind the receiver is sometimes all it takes to kill the momentum of an attack. These still count as accurate passes, but they don’t provide the kind of advantage that a perfect pass should be providing.

At the moment there’s hardly anything positive to say about any player, but it seems like he in particular just runs around a bit. I hope it’s salvageable with “better” coaching, but even then I don’t see a top player in the making.

Hes a good player, but like 3 or four others hes had to play far too much and in dodgy situations with half a team and a shit storm going on behind the scenes. Will come good

Needs an experienced head next to him to guide him through games, as the manager isn't giving him the right instructions. Not the likes of bissoko, Betancur or bergvall. Nothing against bergvall but he's even younger.

Got to remember he's only 22, he will of course have a way to go. Under a competent manager who knows what a DM does will help him immensely.

For example, pretty sure he was the furthest player forward for their second goal. Absolutely no need to be in that position with the play developing where it was, which showed when they won the ball and was able to carry it with no midfielder within 15 yards. A better tactician will keep him where he needs to be.
