Funny to see players who were forced to carry the load the entire season now being villainize.

Since entering the Porro literally has the 2nd best offensive numbers only behind TAA. Like it’s so easy to attract someone like Porro to Spurs. The absolute delusion.

Porro’s biggest crime this season is being available for every match.

Edwards was actually sold on Jose's watch but you are right that Poch, having compared Edwards to Messi, never picked the player after his debut at home to Gillingham where he did more than enough to be considered for more game time.

A bit like Djed Spence.

The common denominator is of course you know who.

The same playbook that was leaked about Spence was leaked about Edwards; whose parents I understand, attempted to stand up to Levy during contract negotiations.

I’m going to stick up for him. He’s a system player. A very good attacking full-back which in a team that is set up to protect and cover him to enable that he’ll be effective offensively.

But we’re not that team and as a consequence he gets exposed defensively. Just as Trent AA would do if he played for us.

He doesn’t hide though, unlike some…and with a proper coach you might see the best of him. With Ange, he’s fucked.
 
I think he’s a warrior and gives us everything he has every game. In a different system I honestly think he’d be a much better player. At this moment in time he’s another running on empty and gets exposed due to how he’s asked to play and how the team is asked to play.
 
I used to rate Porro. Quite highly. He was a defensively suspect WB but had great energy, a bit of fight could deliver a ball and possessed the wandhammer (rich)

He gets skinned in almost every 1v1 he takes part in but he’s also the only player in our squad who seems to understand weight of passing.

Seems like every incisive thru-ball comes from him. Maybe he can play the 10 :porrogasp:
 
I like Porro as a wing back but his defending leaves a lot to be desired - in his defence he's running on fumes.

I'd try him at RW and Spence at RB for a bit if we must persist with both.
