I don’t necessarily disagree but Spence hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory either. As soon as he gets skinned in his next start, it’ll be the same cycle of shit.
Reality is we have a terrible squad. I don’t think Porro or Spence is going to change the course this club is headed.
Spence was locking opposition players up in his penitentiary until Frank began rotating him.
Spence can defend and his will to win his 1v1 battles is obvious.
It is also painfully obvious that Pedro Porro loses the majority of his contests, with opposition wingers, when he can actually be arsed to track back or be in the correct position.
Spurs need to stop conceding goals and if I had access to De Zerbi it would be the one thing I would tell him to do to help the team.
Just play Djed Spence at right back and Spurs will concede less goals.
I no longer give a fuck about whatever it is that Pedro Porro supposedly brings to Spurs attacking play.
If it is that important play Porro on the right of a four man midfield or as the wide right player in the front 3.
Could Porro be any worse than Muani was yesterday?
Spence, on the other hand, would definitely not be targetted, as a defensive weakness, in the same way Spurs have been for 3-4 years since Romero and Porro rocked up.
