Player Pedro Porro

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Same problem at quite a few positions. Who else is there?

Spence? He’s a horrific footballer too. Souza playing his off side as a 19 year old kid just over from Brazil?

This team needs defenders who can defend.

Spence is never given a run in the team at right back.

Spence can defend 1v1.

Watching Porro's bullshit against Brobbey today was embarrassing.

It's every fucking game.

Porro costs Spurs more goals than he creates.

Rarely stops an opposition cross or wins 1v1 duels with wingers.

Weak, pathetic player who resorts to histrionics and verbals.

I don’t necessarily disagree but Spence hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory either. As soon as he gets skinned in his next start, it’ll be the same cycle of shit.

Reality is we have a terrible squad. I don’t think Porro or Spence is going to change the course this club is headed.

Spence was locking opposition players up in his penitentiary until Frank began rotating him.

Spence can defend and his will to win his 1v1 battles is obvious.

It is also painfully obvious that Pedro Porro loses the majority of his contests, with opposition wingers, when he can actually be arsed to track back or be in the correct position.

Spurs need to stop conceding goals and if I had access to De Zerbi it would be the one thing I would tell him to do to help the team.

Just play Djed Spence at right back and Spurs will concede less goals.

I no longer give a fuck about whatever it is that Pedro Porro supposedly brings to Spurs attacking play.

If it is that important play Porro on the right of a four man midfield or as the wide right player in the front 3.

Could Porro be any worse than Muani was yesterday?

Spence, on the other hand, would definitely not be targetted, as a defensive weakness, in the same way Spurs have been for 3-4 years since Romero and Porro rocked up.

He should be one of the first players out of the door in the summer. He's terrible.

He is massively contributing to Spurs being relegation candidates.

Has been all season and for much of last season.

However; every manager keeps picking him and every opposition team Spurs face target him because he cannot defend.

Can't win headers, stop crosses or win 1v1's against dribbling wingers.

Seems incapable of deciding to show a winger inside or down the line.

Often out of position or takes up a bad position defensively.

Those who still pine for Ange fail to realise how the lack of basic, defensive coaching has impacted this team.

Complete and utter liability to THFC.

Continually picked to play in a losing team. Along with Romero and Vicario.

I would love to see the W L D and goals conceded stats for Porro's Spurs games.

It would be interseting to see the same stats for Romero and Vicario too.

The conclusion I have reached - and I may be wrong - is that we

Have no fit wingers
Have no decent attacking full backs
Have insufficient creativity in midfield
Have strikers with limited impact due to poor technique and/or inconsistency
In short we are in bad bad shape.

It really is a lesson in how to assemble a squad of abject mediocrity!

We don’t have a single game changer available.

We do.

It's just our game changers take us down the shitter rather than up the mountain. :romerostare:  :richlips:

I think we are missing Odobert. He showed flashes of quality , assisted , or at least created and scored occasionally. The alternatives we now have without Kudus are worse.
We miss Bentancur as well , despite the dogs abuse he got in here.
