I oppose all ticket pay rises and always will. I've signed the petition for this too for similar reasons....
BUT
As I've said previously the opportunity is to revisit how concessions are allocated. They haven't been looked at like ever, things change.
It should be about affordability, who needs assistance to buy a ticket. I'd say (without doing any research specifically but looking at general demographic data in the UK the concessions should be weighted/focused on the under-21 age bracket who are by some distance the lowest paid and therefore have no disposable income, made far worse by the cost of living crisis but the biggest reason this he fucked housing (rental/buy) market. Our pensioners are some of the wealthiest financial brackets in our society (there will be some pensioners who can't afford tickets, so have some kind of means testing to include them).
All ticket prices are too high. Sure the club are to blame for removing these concessions but how about the players being looked at too. They’re all vastly overpaid and we all contribute to that. Pisses me off.
