Here's Levy's full statement since the club site has crashed:

"We were extremely reluctant to make this change and it is not a decision the Board has taken lightly, nor in haste," Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said it a team statement.

"Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.
"It falls to the Board to make the difficult decisions -- this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff -- but we do so in the Club's best interests."
 
Only the timing is a surprise. Very sad day, though. But let’s hope for the future, the new manager inherits a great bunch of players and the best stadium and training facility in the country. COYS

Why would any big name come here and have no money to spend. Had we supported poch and then he failed, I'd understand the decision. But levy did everything but support him. Not saying poch was perfect. But he's the best manager for us in the way we run the squad. Levy should fucking take a look at himself. Cunt
 
Shocked even though it’s not even a shock.
Feels empty to be honest, I thought I’d be happy but it feels weird.

Still feel it’s for the best, and tomorrow I will just be excited about the new manager.
He’s gone....now it’s about Spurs.

Why sack him now when you could've done it right straight after our last game? Surely Levy has replacement lining up and was waiting for his confirmation to take the job.
 
Well one thing is for sure the players have nowhere to hide now. We lose bad against West Ham there can be no well it’s Poch’s diamond etc.

I assume Levy must have someone agreed to immediately take over, you would hope anyway unless he decides to be the manager.

Although I think it was the right decision given our horrendous form over the last year, it's still a very sad moment.

Will always be grateful for the job Poch has done, regardless of how it's gone recently.
He has elevated the club to a higher level and the football played at times has been brilliant.

Unfortunately he has never delivered silverware and the reality of modern football is it's demanding and cuthroat- you cant stand still and are always judged on current form not goodwill you have generated over the years.
