Management Poch sacked

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

For better or worse, it's been done. No going back now. It's time for the fans to get behind their team no matter who comes in. In a crisis, we stick together. I think I might go to the game at W. H. just to check out the atmosphere which I think will be electric. Poch was second only to B.N. as a manager but barring Fergie, no matter how good they are, there's always a shelf life. I'm really unhappy that he didn't walk. I hate seeing him publicly humiliated but he just hung on too long. But what he did for the club will never be forgotten and I hope the sacking will be forgotten in the great memories of a golden era. Ciao Poch. Buona Fortuna....

I do not understand why termination clauses are not put into the contracts.

i.e. if you do not hit certain milestones we reserve the right to terminate the agreement.

If we are still paying him; Levy should have sent him to manage the u17 team for the next few seasons. :levywhoa:

I doubt many of us will take to Mourinho but I think it's been massively obvious for a long time that Pochettino had lost his edge and love for the club, with love being a very loosely made reference.

We have been abject since the Burnley loss of last season, where this malaise all started.

Pochettino thought it written in the stars that we would win the CL. He was wrong and that was the end of that. He also made a key decision that day which he will regret forever I feel.

I don't think we would have been relegated under Pochettino but I do think Kane would have expressed his disquiet and intention at some point.

The players need a new face who scares and excites them in equal measure.

If Mourinho is in charge on Saturday it will be very interesting to see who is selected.

There will be some that will rejoice at this news. For me it's really sad. Thank you Poch for everything, you did a great job and set a benchmark that is almost impossible for anyone to beat. The next club that gets a chance to employ you will be very lucky.

Good luck and thanks again.

Sad to see it only seems Dele has taken to publicly give thanks to Poch, I think it says a lot that the players were involved in this - which seems mental considering they have always seemed so tight knit and that Poch was a father figure to a lot of these guys. I hope privately they've all thanked him, even the ones that wanted him out.
