Utterly ridiculous.
Absolutely don’t give a flying fuck about the political opinions of the person sitting next to me in the ground as long as they behave respectfully during their time there.
You’re just as likely to have someone who has mainstream opinions, pissed off their face and swearing in front of kids.
The only thing that should matter is behavior in and around the ground.
And given that this comes from the Headchoppers makes it even more laughable.

I remember Clough used to talk about being a good Socialist. The reason he said that is because he recognised there were bad socialists. He genuinely considered himself retarded and people thought he was just being too hard on himself.

Right!

Again - football is not a tool.

Imagine trying to PR yourselves into not being Human Rights monsters, by doing the exact sort of thing that defines that.

Diabolical.

All this sort of bollocks needs to go.

We're heading in a horrible direction.

Strange quirks in the Spanish legal system?
I heard the other day being pissed is an acceptable defence for rape!!
Not really. Defence lawyers try to use it in mitigation but they have to show that the defendant was so drunk (or high on drugs) that they didn't know what they were doing. It's similar to how "insanity" is used in a defence - it's not enough to be nuts, you have to be so mad that you can't distinguish between right and wrong.

And in any case, I remember seeing alcohol and drugs being used in mitigation in English courts back when I worked at the Old Bailey in the mid-80s. I presume it still is.

Yeah I think that's what I heard used in mitigation!
