Brighton create more chances than all those teams so what's your point?
It's the job of the manager to create chances that the team can score from. Burnley did not have much quality in attack in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons; yet have more goals per game than Brighton this season.
Leeds are 9th with 50 goals this season, Burnley 17th with 33 goals. Are Leeds' players really that much better?

xG is alright when analysing strikers, but should not be used to excuse mangers. xG does not take into account the amount of space a player is in when they shoot. The job of the manager is not just to create xG, but to build patterns of play that will result in higher xG to goal conversion.

Who gives a shit about Burnley and Dyche? We're not gonna employ a long ball merchant. And we're not gonna go near Bielsa either. He's been wandering around Europe like the Littlest Hobo for a decade and all he's won is the Championship.

What is the profile of the manager we're looking for?

Plays attractive, progressive football
Young, under 50
Ideally has PL experience
Obtainable
Hungry, point to prove
Has shown potential to be a top tier manager given the right tools

Potter fits all these, while a lot of the names being thrown about don't.

They've scored fewer goals than Newcastle and Palace.

This hype is ridiculous and unwarranted. Biesla has got Leeds up to 9th with only a slightly better team.

I can understand wanting your guy, I mean look at me. But you beat the same drum over and over again without actually taking a stand for A guy.

I have a feeling Potter married your high school sweetheart and you just can't get over it.

What did Potter do to you?

It's part of the manager's job to build patterns of play which are tailored to create chances that your attackers can score from.

For example, in 2018/19, Burnley scored 45 goals. Last season they scored 43 goals. That is likely to be more goals than Brighton will score this season; and Burnley aren't exactly blessed with many clinical goalscorers. And Sean Dyche is not a world class attacking coach either.

Chris wood is a very good CF.

After being recommended by a close advisor

He's browsing TFC, isn't he?

journey of course GIF

Considering they know so much about professional football, give the job to WindyCOYS WindyCOYS Nathan Clarke & Bardi they would dominate Europe...
Seems like a weird dig. it's 3 fans who express their opinions on a podcast. no one's asking you to listen to it. no one's saying they have the "ultimate" opinion. so strange. I never understand such begrudgery.

This is proving to be a poisoned chalice .

Maybe we need Benitez for 2 years and then make him DOF when the choice may be stronger. Potter and Parker will have 2 more years experience and there will be other candidates.
