If we are gonna have to wait a little while longer, can we at least have some fun and try to get our own rumour started and see how far it goes?

Fattynomates Fattynomates you have good form in getting something out there. Who shall we suggest?
Gold has rumoured Pep, Conté and Tuchel are all fighting to pay Daniel Levy 15 million in order to manage Spurs.

:sherwoodlol:

At this point I think best case scenario is to bring in Harry, let him sign a few cheap young guys he wants and build everything towards saving cash to get Poch and the players he wants in two years.
Why should fans of the 9th richest club on the planet, and the most profitable club in history even entertain the idea of hiring a 75 year old has-been to bring in a few cheap young guys while the owners continue to expand their property portfolio off the back of our club.

That even now some of our own are prepared to accept such nonsense is a farce in itself.

It's not rocket science folks.

Pochettino's family live in UK. Due to COVID restrictions, visiting them is problematic. Spurs want him, he wants Spurs. PSG don't want to lose their coach without compensation.

Conte is a serial winner and adept at running big clubs with big money. He is very very expensive.

PSG want Spurs to pay compensation for Poch so they can afford Conte.

SPURS want PSG to mutually release Poch from his contract.

IF Spurs find another Coach; PSG will need to pay Poch compensation (or miss out on Conte). Spurs pretending to be close to bringing in a coach to force PSG's hand...

WHO BLINKS FIRST............
Poch wanted more control. He already has a bad relationship with Leonardo at PSG. We'd have to bin Paratici, which would be hilarious and cap of this search to perfection. No chance though sadly.

With the Gattuso saga over and done with it is time to spin the wheel again I guess.

Here are my current predictions on who it will end up being:
Rafa Benitez
Claudio Ranieri
Nuno
Martinez

The first three because they are available, Rafa and Claudio are used to working with temperamentful owners and directors. Martinez is the rumour that refuses to go away.

Why the fuck haven’t we hired ten Hag a few weeks ago? We thought we discovered gold when Poch and Conte were more or less available then we fucked up so hard that we’re going to end with some low rent manager like Martinez.

Again, I’d rather go with Hassenhuttl than the likes of Benitez, Martinez or Howe.

I have been very well informed that Southgate has already accepted the job and the press are just clutching at straws and linking us to any old name !
