Based upon contribution to the team , and contract length remaining, I'd expect the following players to be the most likely to move in January (although not necessarily all of them).

In the squad now : Lloris, Dier, Sessegnon, Hojbjerg (but maybe only on 31 January once we have assessed Afcon position with Bissouma and Sarr out there until mid February), Lo Celso, Perisic and Gil (lovely dribbler but no end product).

Loanees : Ndombele, Reguilon, Rodon, Spence, Tanganga

Depending on exits, as much to create squad places I'd hope to get 2 or 3 in - I really doubt any more as no PL club can find many quality players available in January - about the only time Spurs bought many was when Harry was first recruited when we had 2 points from 8 games and a genuine fear of relegation if we couldn't find players.

We are far from those kind of fears and the focus is now on getting in quality players to continuethe re-build rather than knee jerk reactions.

So focus on a 3rd CB, (Dier replacement), creative CM possibly (Lo Celso upgrade) and maybe a forward to add more goals and .assists (Gil upgrade)

One or 2 quality HG players coming in would be great - no point in having 17 quality overseas players if we have 4 HG players like Sessegnon !

Fortunately with Maddison and Johnson we have 2 quality HG players, but another one or two definitely helpful to build the squad.

We need quality and not quantity. I expect no more than2 players. What do we do with Perisic? Replace him as he is unlikely to play until the final matches a nd if we do there is no place in the squad for him? That is a difficult one. The CB problem is that whoever we bring in is backup and some players will not accept that and will we opt for another promising player like Phillips or someone better?

Yup we need quality players in without a doubt - we have the quantity so no need to buy for the sake of it.

I suspect CB is the one position we most want to fill but can't see a 'world class/top' player coming in if they have seen Romero and Van de Ven in action. But someone like Lloyd Kelly, PL experienced and once thought a great young prospect although he's not quite made it, would be a decent compromise for 3rd CB allowing Phillips (and maybe Dorrington) a year or two to grown into the CB position. Kelly can play high line and was coached by Matt Wells (Spurs assistant coach) when he was Bournemouth Asst coach 2 or 3 years ago, so the player is known to Spurs

Lloris, Dier and Perisic will all leave by the end of the season at the latest (end of contract)

Richarlison could be sold in January to a Saudi team

And a decision to be made on Forster whose contract also runs out at end of season - do we renew for another year or can we find a better no 2. G.K

Might be relevant that Forster is currently one of our 4 HG players for UEFA squad - but not if we can get a couple of quality HG players

When Richarlison goes, might be dependent upon us signing a quality forward with decent score /assist stats

Personally over the moon with Royal as the 2nd RB. You never get the perfect player for your system but you can have good people in every position of your squad.

I think we have a logjam problem in the forward spots if we aren’t careful. Solomon is ok for the 3rd choice on either wing but if we don’t know what’s happening with Richy, we can’t work out where we need a starting 11 quality player.

I do think we can get close enough to this squad to challenge for the prem after January this season if Mr Levy has the conviction.
