I don’t know which of these women are concerned by the case brought before the CPS.
This is clearly not a straight forward case, the fact it has taken the police circa 2 years to gather sufficient evidence to refer the case to the CPS supports the complexity of the case. It’s not for us to judge the accused, that’s for the CPS to determine if there’s sufficient evidence for him to be prosecuted and then for the accused to face trial by jury.
We need to be very careful with the ‘he must be guilty’, especially when he’s yet to be charged. There’s been several accusations in the public eye over the last few years concerning both celebs, sporting heroes and every day members of the public that have ruined both the accused and their families lives only for the accusations to either be inaccurate or false. That’s not to say there aren’t valid accusations, it’s just not our place to play judge and jury.

I get that, but as I said before, when anyone is under investigation for such a serious crime, the safeguarding of others must be ensured first and foremost. This has not happened here.
Whether the accused is found to be guilty or not is down to the justice system, but his employer must be held to account for their flagrant disregard towards protecting female staff given the serious nature of the accusations.
At the very least they have to carry out a risk assessment.
I get what you’re saying but we are members of the public. We don’t have the power to convict or sentence. We’re just expressing an opinion on what has happened.
I think the outbursts from one of the accused, whose story was in essence supported by the police when they said the roadblock was the law as written at the time, have lent credence to wrongdoing.
Whether the charges that are currently being considered have substance is a separate matter. We don’t know anything about them so we can’t have an opinion either way.
It is clear though that rich men are particularly successful at using their fame and money to shield themselves from the consequences of their actions. I hope justice is served in this case, whatever that is.

We don't know how many female staff there are, what their ages are, whether they are in a position to interact with him etc.
I'm not saying that he shouldn't be put on gardening leave until the situation resolves itself, more that there are too many unknowns, hence the risk assessment.
If due diligence is done, and the RA shows that there IS a risk, then he most definitely should be removed from a position where he could potentially do harm.
It’s not that simple. As it stands there are accusations but no charges. Should the CPS charge him and he’s deemed either a threat to the public and/or a flight risk then they can remand him in custody pending his trial.
My line of work involves working with members of the public who have varying degrees of risk to the public with safeguarding/concerns being a frequent occurrence. Unless someone is on licence or are subject to restraining orders etc, you cannot prevent or restrict them from going about their lives as and how they choose.
Should the person in question be charged then his club may suspend him and then should he be convicted, he will most likely receive a custodial sentence and have his contract terminated.
Employers can suspend employees accused of serious crimes where they face reputational damage.
Greenwood, Bissouma, Sigurdsson, Mendy… according to social media and newspaper reports they were all guilty yet the charges against the first 3 were dropped and the latter was found not guilty to multiple counts by a jury. Albeit not a footballer, there was the recent case where a woman accused multiple men of kidnapping and sexually assaulting her… yet it turned out that she lied and made the whole thing up. Brandishing people without a fair trial can and has had catastrophic consequences for their careers, reputations, relationships, mental health etc.
Just because someone is not found guilty, that doesn’t mean they haven’t done anything wrong.
Greenwood is a great example. We had very clear evidence on video of the sexual assaults and photos of the assaults.
The poor woman’s dad seems to have applied pressure and she no longer wished to cooperate. Take away the victims testimony and it’s impossible to proceed.
That doesn’t mean Greenwood didn’t force himself on her or hit her.
we put a very high bar in place to find someone guilty and potentially deprive them of their liberty. That is absolutely right. But that needn’t stop us calling people out when the evidence is strong.
Greenwood - I’m sure there were reports that not everything was as it first appeared… doctored videos, key witness statements withdrawn and didn’t Greenwood and his accuser rekindle their relationship? Last I read they were expecting a baby together
