Florin Manea (Drăgușin's agent):
The decision was made this morning at 8 am. We were determined to go to Tottenham, but the offer came from Bayern, so we stopped. I was on my way to the airport.
I said we have to think carefully and evaluate. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs. I can't believe we turned Bayern down but that's the decision. I took it with Radu and his family.
I informed Bayern that this was the decision, that they came in the last metres and that it was difficult to change our decision.
Maybe in the future we will get there. We are a bit mind-blown. To turn down Bayern... but it was ultimately what Radu and his family wanted.
He is happy we're going to Tottenham.
Of course, Radu also thought about Bayern's offer. We made the decision in the morning. It's hard to make such a choice. Bayern strongly wanted him, but the official offer only came last night.
There was more money from Bayern, but he said that this is the right step for his career. We stayed up all night to think. I did not sleep at all. Both Napoli and AC Milan wanted him. But he dreamed of playing in the Premier League from a young age.

His best answer to this question would have been:

“We don’t comment about internal discussions.”

This lad is going to be a classier version of Huth. Leicester won a league by having Huth header away every ball, man, woman or child that came into their box…..
Exciting times…..

He's missed two games due to injury in his entire career (and that was 3 years ago)

Welcome to Spurs.

Haven't followed the transfer thread, but just wanted to pop in to see how all you melts and Levy haters are doing? I'm guessing there was plenty of "fucking Levy bald bastard penny-pinching again and sabotaging Ange; he only cares about the money."

When will you guys learn?

You’re wrong. Everyone was just happy that our mate Daniel tried his best. We also universally agreed that the only thing Daniel enjoys more than making spurs fans happy is winning trophies.

You missed a calm, productive day mate, go do some reading and catch up.

Just seen the plane from my window, looks stable :tanguythumb:
Always had curiosity about “Selective Perception”, remember going to a BBQ at a workmates house, right on the Hern flight path (Bournemouth).

As a plane went over, really low as taking off I said “How do you put up with that?!”.

“What” he said.

“That!” I said, pointing at the plane.

He couldn’t hear or perceive it, until pointed out, as his senses blocked the noise and vibration out completely.

They say if you live on a Pig Farm you don’t smell the Pig Shit, same thing.

Anyway, today your senses are open to the sound!

Sounds like someone is pissed they lost a pay day.
Broader picture, if he went to Bayern and nailed a first team spot, his peripheral income streams would be much stronger than with us.

It’s bound to sway agents towards to biggest club on offer, proves doubly great that the Lillywhite Dragon ignored him!

Bayern coming in for him might be a huge blessing in disguise, I instantly have a huge liking for him, even the reports that he felt he owed it to us cause a deal was agreed. I didn't know anything about him two weeks ago yet suddenly I was gutted when I thought we weren't getting him, also a big positive for morale at the club. Plus now they have to go and get Dier, happy days.
One thing I was ruminating over was what this does for our standing as a club in Europe. To have a highly rated player choose us over Bayern might just open the eyes of a few players out there. At the very least it would intrigue any player as to what we are about.

It wouldn't surprise me if we have a lot more players looking at us as a serious option if we were to come calling.

The more I think about it, the more I feel that his choice could have some real positive knock on effects for us when it comes to a player's choice.
