I know it’s Bayern but I’d question any player that wouldn’t want to play in the PL right now. It’s where it’s at.
He is a player we needed but not a player you would break the wage structure to get.So, the question I have here, is why were we offering 75% less than Bayern?
Surely his agent will have told us what Bayern's salary offer was?
Saying that I'm glad we didn't budge and offer him stupid money to come because of the threat of Bayern.
So he was 18 in this pic...

Think it's 75% more than what he was offering at Genoa - we are paying him £50k a week which would work out as double of what he was getting at Genoa which is what we normally do when we sign players, so I think Bayern would have been offering around £100k a week.
That's nothing. This is Skippy when he was 18 months...
There is no "royal team" as such, there are around 30 teams called "Real Something-Or-Other" - apart from Madrid the best-known are Real Sociedad and Real Betis. You can see a list here although some are repeated (men's/women's team, B teams etc)...Really?
There is this percieved idea over here that RM are the Royal club in Spain. You learn something new every day
Really? I'm off to Woolwich then."Real Something" clubs
None have any connection to the crown or state or anything, any more than we have a connection to Sir Henry Percy, Earl of Northumberland.
If true that we had been planning for him since last summer that is another point that the club deserves some credit for.
The way this squad build is going is looking more strategic by the window
Romero and dragsuin will lead us to glory!!!!Aided and abetted by Wes Morgan
They both got away with murder repeatedly

"Real Something" clubs
None have any current connection to the crown or state or anything, any more than we have a connection to the Earl of Northumberland. They got the name "Real" after they made the king at the time (Alfonso XIII) their honorary president.
Ah yeah you already said it lolReal Madrid aren't Spain's "State Football Club" in any sense of the word, however much people in England cling desperately to the idea.
We could start with the fact that both our king, Felipe VI, and president, Pedro Sánchez, are both lifelong Atleti fans (as is the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez Almeida).
They'll drag us in to Glory.
