Yeah but being a CF forward and working the channels is very different to being a winger.

He looks primarily like a CF to me. I think Tel or Odobert need to step up.

I feel the club are aware Richarlison cant be trusted and will be the most likely sold in future

I expect to see him start with richarlison or solanke come that first home game. And it will likely be on the left :sarrthink:

All of those players are not good enough to compete in the top. Muani is no different. The man had one decent season in Bundesliga and living off of that for years. Last year in Serie is a mirage. Gives me Werner vibes... desperate panic signing in the deadline...

Sorry but i dont agree.. i still dont get why Solanke gets put in the same box as Richy or Johnson. ...Solanke can actually play, he isnt a killer in front of goal but he is a far better player than both.

The other two are erratic and give the ball away constantly but on their day get a goal and gives them some reprieve

Well, this is his second season under a more consistent manager so lets see what he can do.

Richarlison, Solanke, and Kolo Muani are sort of oddly similar in career trajectory and the fact they have extremely tantalizing skill sets and have had great seasons, but have never fully put it together or been consistent.

What I like about the three of them is that they are different players with differing strengths and it feels like Frank could harness that well.

I think hes almost certainly been brought in to play centre forward first and foremost after Dom's injury news, like-for-like replacement kinda thinking. I have a feeling we probably werent in for him at all before the injury news broke. Its just really handy that he can play wide if need be as well.

So, he had one good year in Germany, but his last season in Italy was also a mirage?

You're sounding like one of those fans who called Kane a "one season wonder"...

A league where Lukaku and Moise Kean bag, and McTominay is a genuine goal threat.

I think the jury is very much out on this guy and he could either be a really canny pickup or a bit of a mess and never really manage to get going. PSG have Goncalo Ramos who is nothing special and yet they're so desperate to get rid of this guy they're happy to do straight loans for him despite paying a fortune all of 5 mins ago.

It’s Dembele that’s mostly in the way for Muani at PSG

Ramos is happy to sit on the bench behind him, Muani probably sees himself as a legit competitor for Dembele at NT level so don’t want to sit around waiting to play.

It’s a good reflection of Muani that he’s pushing to get out of PSG

He might want to wake up. 1 in 2 in Serie A isn't getting you near Dembele, lol.

I can't pretend to have watched this guy loads so I'm not going strong either way on him. Thought he looked dodgy as fuck in the world cup, very erratic. Not surprised he scored some in Serie A as he's fast and strong. Not sure if that translates to being great at Prem level.

In reality all we need for him to do is chip in with a handful of goals and assists and he's done a job for a loan.

Yea, that is why he struggles in France and can't buy a spot in PSG. If he was so good, he wouldn't be loaned out every year when he is 26 years old. Only idiots called Kane a one season wonder, maybe it was you since you mention it? Idk.

We tried to sign Muani last January, and in fact I think we have been trying to sign him for a few years. Obviously we couldn't compete when PSG came in for him for a huge money deal, and then he preferred Juventus to us in January.

He also prioritised returning to Juventus all summer and it was only when Juventus gave up and signed Openda that Muani was then open to joining us and we made our move.

So I think this shows, that waiting for deadline day for opportunities to arise that weren't open previously makes sense but also, it wasn't a last minute decision. We've been wanting to bring him into the club, I guess because we think he's better than our current strikers.

Chip in with a handful was Werner

This guy isn’t a Werner imo. Hes almost certainly the best #9 at the club now.

He will be a good good signing for us and I think come January we will be negotiating a purchase for the summer.
Hes a notch up on richy and solanke in pretty much every metric.
He more athletic than both, more explosive, more rangey and quicker to get to lose balls, sharper, more physical.
In combination with simons and kudus im really excited to see us progress this year and I think we will get stronger and stronger as the season goes on and they all get to know each other's games more.

Just a big shame we lost maddison otherwise we'd have some serious clout.

PSG are a totally schizo club they change direction like a dodgems car with a busted wheel. Coaches strategy none of it is straightforward. They are not a barometer of anything regards players or coaches trillions spent and until last season we had out performaned them in the ECL. Its a very political club, I'd reserve judgement till we see what a good environment and settled coaches do for the kid. As for league strength you can argue that a lot of ways Soldado terror in Spain shocking in the EPL, Greenwood has scored more in the EPL than la liga though.
