Sad to say it but, this team looks worse than the one that went down in 77 when I was a kid.
I can't see them winning any remaining games, they don't look like they know how to.
Forest and west ham are getting results and playing better.
There are so many things wrong with the club, disconnect is massive, recruitment has been shambolic as is the lack of leadership.
It was right that Levy left, the replacement has not been up to the task.
Both CBS have lost their heads in recent weeks, nobody has any professionalism at all.
We will go down and Woolwich will win the league.
Such a long road back, could take 10 years to get back to a strong position if ever.
The so called " game changing " station has definitely been that, from top four to bottom four and out of the league.

In the case of relegation Atleast 6 or 7 of them would leave, and there's basically no way to replace all in one summer with adequate replacements

This is why relegation for us is so dangerous. We'd have 2 or 3 months to literally find half a squad and a new manager.

I should imagine a lot of the academy players returning from loan would go straight into the squad.

I called you out earlier because you were summarily dismissive of the fears some of us had when we lost to West Ham. Not like some of the users here who actually tried to work out scenarios of results to show where they’re coming from, but calling the worries nonsense and saying things like we could be fine even if we lose every single remaining match.

There is no I told you so here, if you think anyone is gleeful or basking in self-satisfaction. Some of us had worries back then and it’s playing out in the worst possible way.
 
We are playing like a Championship team as long as the players don't follow the game plan of the manager. It's up to the players now to pull themselves together and fight for the team and the manager.
 
It’s difficult to see how we turn this around as we seem to be in freefall.

The players don’t seem to want to do it for the club, their employer (stoked by Romero), or us fans (stoked by VDV & Porro) and don’t seem to have the professional pride to do it for themselves!
 
It’s really come down to the Notts Forest, Leeds and Wolves games now. Two 6 pointers there. I wouldn’t be confident it’s enough but we have to win those games. At this point, if we can’t win those games, we don’t deserve to be in the EPL next year

It's not rubbish.

Some posters on here are more interested in making their point on ENIC etc, and yet won't name players we should buy and were quite content when the summer window closed.

We have a lot of posters who obviously don't want us to go down but their revisionism on the quality of the squad and other aspects are a joke.

Nobody whatsoever predicted or thought we would be here.

The squad has heen poorly managed and egos left to run away with themselves, unchecked. That has been really evident.

He/she is saying there are those here who want us to go down. That’s the part I call rubbish.

We all have views on what’s gotten us to this state and while we can have those debates, I cannot see anyone here on TFC actually wanting us to be relegated.

I wish it was the last week of August 2025 again.
The world seemed a much safer place.
