After next week there's a good chance we will be tied with Spam and Palace in 13th place, ahead by goal differential. Utd play Soton and after today's showing vs Liverpool that should be an easy 3 points for them. If Everton should win vs Leicester, that will put them at 20 points and then their next match vs us would be a 'relegation 6 pointer' vs us, Spurs.

Heady days for us, no doubt.

We aren't getting relegated (this season).

Let's not be silly now.

We'll be going down next season though 100%

I don't actually think we will either, but, the fact that we are even talking about it being possible at all is shocking. There is still a mathematical chance that it could happen, so isn't in good humor to joke about it. As much 'injury crisis' as we have endured, there is always the possibility that it could get worse. I don't want to name names and jinx them but there are key players whose absence could absolutely complicate our ability to get to 40 points out of the remaining games.

5 more points for us will keep us up? I reckon that Wolves, Palace, Everton and Ipswich will all finish with at least 30 points each. That would be more than your five point safety prediction.

Southampton are fucked and probably Leicester too but we need to be better than 3 teams.
Like I said it wasn’t a prediction, just a look at how many points were needed for safety each of the last five years, and 29 would have been good enough 2 times out of 5. But if we collect 10 from the last 18 we’d be virtually guaranteed safe.

As Ange Out as I am, I am sure that even he could manage an odd win or two and a few draws the rest of the way. We have another against Leicester and Southampton yet to come.

Now there’s a point worth pondering. If we stuck with Ange and had another listless Levy summer, could it be next season? Anything downward is possible in that scenario.

Would make it 10 pts out of a possible 78...we'd more than deserve to get relegated. To be honest, that's what Levy deserves for being the biggest cunt chairman in world football for the past 25 years.

Somewhere we really need to string a couple of wins in a row together.
Everton and Leicester stand out as the matches to get things back on track and build momentum.

We'd have 29 points and 2 of the last 5 years 29 points would have kept us up.
