Don’t believe it.

I was under impression that all the teams around us had somehow turned in to Prime Barcelona based on some of the posts have seen on here.

Maybe the 3% chance that Opta had for the outcome was based on more than the “I reckon West Ham and Forest will be safe so we are the favourites along with maybe Palace to be relegated” type of delusional posts.

Decent chance West Ham don’t even get another point until April based on their fixture list

West Ham played well today, 20 shots to Bournemouths 10. Leeds had the better of very strong Villa team. Neither lost. They showed they are very much alive. When we win a game maybe you can start relaxing but most of us know we need to work hard if we want to stay up.

Not to mention they were minutes away from beating Carrick's future title contending, treble winning United (lol), and Chelsea needed a last minute winner against them.

Nuno's no mug and in Bowen they have a genuine gamechanger that loves the club.

Given how shit we've been for months and our injury list, I'd be very wary of writing off West Ham yet.

Did you watch the game today, they were by far the most dangerous side. They've also collected wayyyyy more points than us over the last 2 months.

My big problem is another injury or two and we can't even rely on subs.

We've got Porro, Udogie, Danso and Richarlison back in the next few weeks but most others are back with only a handful of games left April time.

We are on extremely thin ice, 4 wins at-home in 14 months, 13 fit outfield players and no wins this calendar year. I honestly cannot believe some people don't think we are massively in a scrap.

The confidence some posters have in us picking up the necessary points in our remaining games is staggering - Palace, Leeds, Forest, Everton at home - yes but we’ve won 2 home games all season, we’ve no idea how this plays out.

Bournemouth were one of the form teams in the country going into this game and West Ham had them holding on.

More than anything today I’m looking at our application, because if we see a team fight and play bravely, even if we lose, I will start to relax a bit because we will have a much better chance in other fixtures. If I see the inertia I saw under Frank then I will worry.

Our performance today will determine whether West Ham dropped 2 points or gained a point.

It’s easy to look at their fixtures and just say they will lose those games but they are fighting and creating chances…… mid table sides start to have little to play for over the next 5 games too

We are, but there’s plenty of games at this point in time to pick up points. If it’s still like this with 6 to play then that’s a different story. Don’t get me wrong I’m massively concerned but I am hoping the change in manager makes a difference as it was obvious the players didn’t like Frank and his tactics. Probably all season but especially since Chelsea at home.

Agree with this, seems like the other teams are fighting and playing well, we need to see the same evidence of that before we start counting our chickens.

There’s all one thing the clubs have in common. Poor owners in different ways.

Exactly and this is where the TV deal and other money has fucked us. Now even the likes of Bournemouth have access to big funds so if they are well run they can buy the likes of Rayan for big money. That was never case decades prior. The wealth gap that used to exist meant we could poach players easily from smaller teams and smaller teams couldnt build strong squads. Now every Prem club has at least a certain level of money so they can shop abroad and get top talents.

With the gap closed then it becomes more important not to be run shit. ENIC should sell up but their biggest error otherwise was not sacking Levy years ago. He has left the club with a bunch of dunces like Lange and an unfit medical department because all he cared about was property and now the likes of Vivianne are probably in panic mode. If you have ever seen the film the death of Stalin when Stalin dies nobody knows what to do because Stalin rules the roost and everyone below him were mostly incompetent fools and it was by design so he could rule without challenge. That is our club. We need a strong CEO, a strong DoF and a strong medical/sports science team, elite individuals at all levels of the club.

Yeah this is how I see it too. Fans, and most importantly players, need to keep the faith. Tudor has been here before albeit in Italy so will know which games to target. I just hope he is spending morning noon and night watching PL games and our analysts giving him the best overview of games as teams as that will be important for him. Whilst he has to concentrate on us he has to be fed as much info on these teams we are playing. He needs to know there are no free hits in the PL.

Luckily for Tudor we will be an unknown quality for a few weeks. Games like Fulham way, which are usually difficult for us might be turned into wins as they wont know how we will set up.
The only problem facing Tudor is....
How to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear !!!!

We haven’t even played yet , so far Leeds and West Ham have gained an extra point on us, I don’t think we will go down however your carrying on like it’s a given when we haven’t won a game this year …..

This is what I was saying yesterday and what he says definitely applies to us too. Lots of games left. One at a time, concentrate on training, concentrate on ourselves, concentrate on the next match.

Understandably I think the stress of the situation is doing funny things to the mind, and some people are looking at it from goal to goal, which is just excessive at this stage.

Yesterday looked bad for a while then got a bit better. Today, we will probably get more of the same, and I doubt we will help ourselves, as I think that lot have a point to prove. I am hoping Liverpool in particular help us. Wolves, outside chance.

West Ham are still the most likeky to go down in my opinion although they do look solid and combative. Forest, all but sealing progression to the next round of the Europa, and having sone tough games are also going to find the twin demands difficult.

I really hope we draw a tough team in the CL and get knocked out. We ain't good enough and I don't want to see anything derail what needs to be some strong and effective decisions in the summer.

Big picture..
