Resting my hopes on that a win tonight actually puts us in a better position than we were on Sunday, and that we have Kudus, Bergvall, Udogie, Romero, Spence all to come back in during the next 2-3 weeks. Maybe a couple more as well.

"The prospect of one of the Premier League's 6 wealthiest teams being relegated should be essentially impossible given the vast resources they have at their disposal"
BBC

Tottenham: How Premier League relegation could cost Spurs more than £250m
The fall in revenue numbers looks reasonable.

But they have one number wrong. The squad does not get paid £276m. That would imply about £10m each. They get paid less than half that.

We can only try make up the shortfall through player sales. I can see we could raise £150m ish through VdV, Romero, Porro, Spence, Tel, and three or four others.

We could probably lose 100 of the 877 employees and not notice. Organisations get bloated.

btw, I'm in for a box next year. As long as it's no more than a couple of grand. A box to watch us scramble a late equaliser vs Stockport and JP rip off his shirt again!

There are more than 27 players in 'the squad', as it will likely include every player at the club at all levels

Some posters just don't care about relegation and the pain of the fans. Some of us are struggling like mad here. Not entitlement ,just being a fan.

Look at what they write, I implore people.

What is their main concern or narrative

It's just unbelievable.

Yup I didn't think it was possible. Can't believe its March and we haven't won a league game in 2026 yet! People were predicting this back at christmas and i saw it as impossible, was just sure we'd pick up some wins! I also thought sacking frank would immediately lead to some results.

I really can't understand how bad we are! But right now I expect us to get relegated as I can't see where we are going to get the 10+ points needs to stay up! Its a scary time.

Happy to admit I was totally wrong and I really wish I wasn't. Hope you aren't enjoying being right on this occasion if you this predict us to be in this mess!

The players don't care. Most of them are internationals who are more focused on the WC this summer than helping the club stay up. It's been clear that they despise the board, club management, and the supporters. They all know that their agents will work on moves for them while they're competing for their countries this summer.
It’s a shame most of them are written in stone for their country, too. If there was a doubt they would be on the plane to North America, maybe they’d be putting in a shift and not be gasping for air at the 55 minute mark.

Don’t misread gallows humour for not giving a shit mind.

It’s the only way some of us are staying sane.

Absolutely nothing wrong with gallows humour - in fact it's a necessary part of being a Spurs fan.

On that note - just seen our home game against Brighton's been moved to 17:30.

Clearly SKY wanting to eke as much revenue out of our Relegation battle as possible.

I have a lot of respect for you mate, even if we might disagree on one or things, as all people should.

I will accept you are right but it won't stop me from posting against some of the comments.

Ever thought that some people may have so much shit going on in their lives, and also feel so beaten down by the way our club has been run and the way we play football, that they are just struggling?

That doesn't mean that they (and I inc myself in that) don't care, so maybe just keep your uninformed opinions to yourself. End of discussion.

Each month, I go drinking with a Woolwich fan and a Liverpool fan. For years we lagged behind them in the league, and I took plenty of stick. But then, with Redknapp followed by Poch, it gave me almost about 8 years of bragging rights in terms of league position, always finishing above them.

I have to say, it takes some real pathetic levels of mismanagement to fall this far backwards since the Champions League final. Not only that, but Utd showed everyone how quickly you can turn around a poor season and league placing by making good decisions. Our lot just seem incapable.

Looking back, it was pure luck that Poch had cheap players that came good, and that it was Poch who was managing them. Levy and ENIC didn't have the capability to design that scenario, the cards just fell right in spite of them not because of them. The owner ongoing porr judgement, from what was a great position, that got us to where we are today.

Looking at momentum, fight, spirit and form, I think that if we don't win tonight, we're finished, especially with the guaranteed defeats that are ahead of us in the fixture list.

Everyone here cares man. It's just that some of us see the writing on the wall and are preemptively accepting relegation rather than pretending it won't happen so we can be numb to the onslaught of abuse and taunting we'll get for next decade.

Oh for those times under Poch. 🥰

I almost get a home sickness feeling in my gut when the club post old vids from that time I miss it so.

The fall in revenue numbers looks reasonable.

But they have one number wrong. The squad does not get paid £276m. That would imply about £10m each. They get paid less than half that.

Beinh reported this information is from last published accounts.

“The numbers illuminate the scale of recalibration required. Tottenham’s wage bill for 2023-24 stood at £222m, the lowest among the so called “big six” clubs. By comparison, Manchester City spent £413m over the same period.”

So not sure what 24/25 wage bill would be like. I’m guessing increased bonuses for winning Europa league.

But I would say your guess of £140m is way out.
