I'd go even further. Our stock was so high summer 2016, great young team and manager, CL football and yet we couldnt land one of our top targets of Mane, Zaha and Wijnaldum. Wanyama was an ok signing but Janssen, Nkoudou and Sissoko set the tone for the next 10 years. Just poor players. The momentum carried on our great form for another 2.5 years but the die was cast.

They’re all under contract though and unless they’ve relegation clauses in their contracts they are stuck with us and them. They need to be reminded of that by the owners. That if we go down it will be made as hard as we possibly can for them to leave. I suspect that would focus a few minds.
This is unprecedented though, a Club as rich as ours has never been relegated, people may point to Leeds however they were financially fucked, I'm not saying we are going to keep everyone however surely the aim would be to just steam roller the championship next year by having a better squad then everyone else, come to think of it, if that is the plan then maybe we are best off getting rid of half these cunts as they aren't even Champo standard!

Getting rid of Levy after the season had started was dumb as fuck, no doubt about it. For better or worse he ran every aspect of the club, you can't just kick him out randomly and trust in two nobodies like Vinai and Lange. We were not ready to get rid of him.
If Levy were still here, he'd never have let Frank stay so long or failed to sign any attackers in January. He would have acted. That doesn't mean I absolve him of his crimes against the club that have led us to this point.

We are not a charity. Once Romero and VDV and the rest are gone for £100-200m then clubs have to pay. Vuskovic is the best U21 CB there is, we helped him massively loaning him to Belgium and Germany. He will go if Bayern offer £100m but unless we get an offer like that there is simply no reason to sell.
To avoid relegation I think we need to play to the strengths of our uninjured midfielders. Gallagher, Sarr, Bissouma, Palhinha should be pressing everywhere in midfield, harrying and winning the ball back higher up the pitch, then getting the ball straight to the forwards before the opposition defence resets. They then need to bust a gut to get in the box. Nothing fancy, they are incapable of that. Win the ball then swarm forward in support.

You don't understand. All the contract is good for is ensuring we get a fee for their services. That is it. These players are not dropping down to the Championship. They will withdraw services and yes we can fine them and stop paying them but no point. If any player is determined to leave, then they will leave. There is zero point in keeping an unhappy player.
